Gaming Story of seasons random crashes

Is there any way to fix this? The game was fine for the first year or so but now it reboots the 3DS sometimes when I move from one scene to another. Of course all progress is lost since the previous game save. This happens about once a week.

I am on system firmware 4.5 running emunand) 9.4 and really don't want to to update since it we all know updates just mean more horrible flashcart-blocking tricks from the company.

I figured it was some hokey Gateway problem, so I started over playing the game from the cart on my other 3DS (system 9.4, but no gateway) and it does the same damn thing. You have to play a long time for the problem to appear and even then it happens at random times.

Anybody else playing this game on gateway?

Did you update your gateway Emunand to 9.8?

No. I'm afraid to. All my other games work fine with sysnand 4.5, emunand 9.4.

Have people thoroughly examined what these updates do? Is it documented somewhere? (The real changes, not vague marketing BS about "system stability enhancements.") I do not trust nintendo updates...I own too many locked out cards for my DSi XL.

Nothing bad is gonna happen -__- just boot gateway mode go to system settings make sure it says GW3D and DON'T LEAVE THE SYSTEM SETTINGS MENU!
Go to Other Settings -> Then click system update its that simple

there only added theme support amiibo junk and more game title support thats about it if your on an Old 3DS if your on a New 3DS the highest supported Emunand is 9.5.22

I have O3DS. Backed up my emunand and games. Then, updated to latest GW launcher.dat and allowed system update to run in emunand. So far, so good. It might take a week or so to determine whether or not SoS is still crashing.

btw, you still didn't say whether you have experienced this problem.
