July 10th UPDATE: Siliconera has confirmed that NoA is indeed leaving Devil's Third behind. Another publisher has apparently picked up the game, but we'll have to see how that all pans out in the coming month as reviews for the game start appearing and the game begins releasing in the rest of the world. As of now, it doesn't seem Devil's Third is entirely dead in North America, but there are still no details on any kind of release date.
Thanks to @Ryupower for the update.
I'm reporting this as a rumor simply because it can't be confirmed as truth yet, but on youtube, Unseen64 Tamaki, apparently a fairly reliable source for insider information, announced that NoA has dropped all plans to publish Devil's Third in North America. This seems plausible after the game listing was pulled from the NA Wii U eshop future releases list two weeks ago. You can watch the video explaining the situation below:
He also mentions that, at least he has heard, that the game suffers from framerate issues and graphics that look two generations old. All in all, the game could be a bit of a lemon, although reviews for the game will become available June 15th that can either confirm or deny these as being issues prevalent in what is basically the final product.
This doesn't guarantee that Devil's Third isn't coming to NA, but the prospects are currently looking pretty bleak.
