I can't get over the fact that the MC dies! I guess props to Atlus for making me feel this much for a video game character but damn. Everyone gets their memories back, and come running to meet Aigis and MC and... you pass away on a beautiful spring day.

Discuss? Anyone have input there lol ive never felt this way after beating a game lol
Is the answer worth playing?
I'm not going to be this devestated after finishing 4 am i?

I appreciate all of your inputs, that you for posting.

Only played P3P, so I don't know aboout The Answer, but it's probably good to play everything there is.

Also, with 4, the ending? Not really, but some plot point in the story might be devastating to some.

The Answer pretty much concludes the main story, but it's not that great.
Its automatically set to Hard difficulty, the initial floors are way too big, and some bosses are ridiculously hard, having 2 elements that aren't RPL,DRN or BLK.

Also, who you used on your Endgame party?
Mitsuru,Ken and Koromaru for me, on every playthrough.

I used Yukari (which I am not so sure I didn't have feelings for), Junpei, and Aigis. I honestly thought those 3 meant the most to my main character. I completed Yukaris social link, Junpei had a great story even if it was heart wrenching too, and I grew to really like Aigis.

The grindswer should be the proper title. I'm playing it and is hard, that's why I took a break and playing other stuff until I feel more psychologically prepared to grind a little more.
but don't take it wrong, is still good to play and give an interesting twist as well as clarifying what really happened to MC.

To funny I just started playing this game a few days ago, atleast the MC gets laid a few times before the end...If you don't mind grinding then the answer isn't to bad,you never played persona 4 yet? I SHALL KILL YOU WHERE YOU STAND!(JK),I don't know if I would recommend playing P4 right after P3 but I highly recommend Persona 4 esp. if you liked the previous game...

I started 4 a few days ago! :P I did really like Persona 3. I was just thrown off by the ending, thats all.

But I didn't get my weekend alone with Yukari at Destinyland! Couldn't you have at least waited a few weeks cruel Nyx!?

hes doesn't die. He just give up his "life" to keep Nyx trapped. if u have P3 FES there is a 2nd part to this where they try to save him

I know that feeling all too well. Five years ago I was in your shoes.

Yes! I recommend playing The Answer. I feel like I am one of the only people actually liking it, but I think it adds to the story in a great way. It gives you closure on the ending to the journey and many of the party members have some great moments. There are also som references to it in Persona 4 Arena as well as Persona 4 Ultimax.

P4 is a lot more light hearted, the ending to that won't give you the same feeling. But you will experience something else. I won't spoil it though. Get Persona 4 Golden for the PSVita/PSTV and get ready for another awesome game.

You are talking about the Answer right? But they dont or cant save him, right? I need you to be clear with me please. Its my my sanity's sake :P I dont mind Answer spoilers, ive already looked into a few of them.
Yeah i know he doesn't "die" technically. But not being able to be with his friends and leaving the world to keep a terrible entity trapped doesn't sound like much of a "life" either. I'm not arguing wth you lol im just still pretty emotionally charged from the game.

Oh I didnt know they referenced P4A. Thats cool. Sooooo
Isnt Minato (the main character) in P4A? How is that possible? Video game magic?

So I have looked into the Answer, I MIGHT play it. I have heard its automatically set to hard mode, and its a huge grind fest. Right or wrong? I will have to at very least put P3FES down for a while before coming back. I DID like P3, the ending was just... a lot. I already have P4G actually. A friend of mine got wind I was interested in playing 4, and early early on, while I was telling him about Devil Survivor, he suggested the Persona series. I thought to myself "LOL GAY A HIGHSCHOOL SIM WITH RELATIONSHIPS HAW HAW" and then I cracked (because of how much I loved DeSuOc) and got my hands on P3P. Eventually decided id rather not play the game as a downgraded PSP title, even if it was impressive they stuffed a PS2 game into the PSP. I got FES and finally finished that. That said, he bought me P4G because he knew it was on my wishlist.

JUST TO BE CRYSTAL CLEAR
You don't or can't save the MC with the Answer right? Hes dead dead (or out of humanities grasp right?)

Just watch the cutscenes on youtube. The Answer is a fucking hog.

DOn't worry about P4
Here's a link to the first video (or a similar one) that emigre mentioned:

Although I don't mind hard mode/hard games, I'm not a fan of grinding, so I ended up just watching those videos instead. If I remember correctly, I think I saw someone say that The Answer is half as long as The Journey (I think that's the first half, I forget). This way you'll get to finish Persona 4 quicker! Also, thanks for this thread, it reminded me to watch the videos for Ultimax in case there are any references in Persona 5.

P3 cast meets P4 cast in some alternate dimension and proceed to enter EO dungeons.
I can't play it :(

P4 is much less grindy than P3. You can go back at any time and return. IMO P3 has a better story, P4 is more comfy with the team all hanging out and solve mysteries and stuff.
Apparently P4 is one of the few SMT games with a happy ending?

I guess! I think of the 3 I have played, P3FES, Devil Survivor (i spoiled the ending, not really a big deal for me at this point), and SMT4, most of them dont set the world up to allow for a happy ending. Devil Survivor has a few different endings and allows for a couple of decent endings and a good ending (or true ending, if you ask me). Of the three you can get with SMT4, you can get a good, bad, and a weird one. Again all of those are up for interpretation as well.

Persona Q is essentially Etrian Odyssey with a Persona paint-job. It's certainly not for everyone. I was hoping for more Persona-like gameplay, but I still enjoyed it.
I agree that Persona 4 does feel more comfy, but at the end of the day you're still doing the same thing. Going to school, going on dates with random chicks that you barely even know, and when you have time, killing shadows.
Regarding the endings, it really depends on your definition of "happy ending." Sure, a character may die, but if they died so that the evil that plagued their world would be sealed away, is that really a bad ending?

^This.
Hated the answer.
(watch how P3 chars met on youtube)

The answer is so ridiculous grinding-wise and you can't carry much of anything from the journey that I remember that after 100% the journey in like 120h, I just caved a use codes to level up much faster in the answer and finished it in 6hours.

You heard it right, the answer is 6h and 24h of grinding.
