I just realized again the Wii u sucks!! Man let me tell you I was playing the piece of shit again and I got bored so fast and turn the thing off.

Please we can debate like adults, don't bash the thread because I have loads of reason
why this system reminded me again that it sucks

You honestly expect people to take you seriously and have a debate when your opening post is "it sucks!" and your reasoning is "I got bored so fast"

My Wii U does what I want it to do. I bought my Wii U to have a console with HD graphics that also has motion controls for call of duty. It sucks that Activision saw fit to quit releasing cod for it. If Sony or M$ added motion controls like the wiimote then I'd buy their console because the state of the Wii U sucks. I really hope the NX has wiimote support.

Alright, we can have a civil discussion! Let's do this!

Ok so let's start:

Fans makes the console less appealing?how exactly? I thought people buy consoles for their games.

Laziness? What are you referring to that made you think Nintendo is lazy?

I am not fond of the console myself and I didn't even buy it since the games it currently offers are not enough for me to justify the purchase.

Secondly, the poor third party support which is putting me off from purchasing the console.

Most of their first party titles aren't really worth it apart from Bayonetta 2, Mario Kart 8 and SSB.

A console would suck if the library is very weak, the controllers are crap, and the console is hard to function. In those aspects, I don't think the Wii U sucks. It's not the best of all time, and as a Nintendo fan, I can admit that. In comparison, N64 and SNES ticked all the boxes as far as library of games, awesome controller, easy to use console, great graphics, everything. Wii U's graphics are fine enough for me, and expected. If I want a more graphically beautiful game, I'd go for the other consoles, or PC. The Wii U gamepad is the worst part of the Wii. It's nice for uses outside of gaming, like browsing Netflix and such, and not using the Wiimote to type in search terms and such. Wii U probably would've been taken more seriously if they sold the gamepad as an auxiliary gimmick, rather than the focal point. The Wii U Pro comes as close to the GC Controller as their best one since SNES.

The library is lacking in quantity and quality as a combo. Quality is selective though, and I can only go by a few titles, as I haven't tried anything other than MK8, Bayonetta 1 and 2, and Super Smash Bros. Based on what I see, if a Wii U owner doesn't have those 3 titles, they must be hurting for something good by Nintendo. For me, I get enough enjoyment with the latter 3, and have yet to play MK8 for more than 40 minutes total. I will, and there's still Super Mario 3D World which came as a bundle, $290. How come there's no mention for downloadables/virtual console? Freaking Shovel Knight is a glorious game, granted I have only played 2 levels. If the new stuff isn't getting your rocks off, download a VC game. I have Legend of Zelda for example. There are Wii U games out now and coming down the pipeline that I will get, such as Star Fox Zero and the Zelda Wii U game, Yoshi's Wolly World. The system's not dead, but it's definitely in a holding pattern until NX info is posted.

Which is a bit lame because I only bought Wii U on December 2014, and a year from now, Wii U will be dead, everything will be about the NX. Then again, I have never played a console brand new, not many games brand new, I start late in the console race, always.

Yes, it sucks. And the problem is not the weak hardware or the gimmicky and expensive controller.
The problem is lack of support, lack of commitment, lack of variety and plenty of disappointment.

EXACTLY. I LOVE Nintendo gimmicks but the Wii U is wasted potential. It gets a LOT of use in my house but the lack of strong multimedia support and steady stream of games is killing it. Hell, I would settle for PS/360 ports being that I haven't played many PS/360 games.

I totally agree. They need to come to the conclusion that mostly grown ups are buying and playing the wii U. These kids are on that PS4 and xbox one, I don't know any kids down here in MS that has a Wii u. So they targeting these kiddie acts to kids, but grown ups like me you and the rest are buying the system, and amibos.

You actually bought amibos? I can never understand that gimmick, same with Skylanders. Even the Wii's motion sensing was a stretch, I'm much more grounded, console controls, discs, cartridges that need blowing on, simple stuff. Nintendo right now is killing it with 3DS, but to be fair, they have no competition, and they probably don't count mobile phone gaming as a challenger.

Unfortunately, they don't appeal to third party people. For the first time ever, I have considered getting PS4/Xbox 1 because of Mortal Kombat X. I'd love to play the game on the Wii U, but that option not existing, and me being an MK fan, I have to eventually invest in either those consoles, or PC. Which by the way, I'm working towards that.

Please we can debate now

I just got a WiiU and I hope to get good enjoyment out of it. But at least now by having one, it gives me a better idea of its strengths and weaknesses. Thus, here's a list of what's *probably* killing the system imo.

1) The Gamepad is too large.

2) The Gamepad does not have a micro USB charging port. (for that matter it doesn't even have a 3DS/DSi charging port)

3) Too many gamepad gimmicks, but in particular, games that make you use the touchscreen and use traditional controls at the same time, which is a complete disaster. (Pikmin 3) At most a game can use traditional controls only for some parts and touchscreen only for other parts, rarely should the two be combined, and even if you were going to do this, then at the very least it should be on a smaller device like a 3DS, Vita, or PS4, because the WiiU gamepad is simply too big to accommodate that type of play.

If you want an adult discussion, perhaps you should start it with a well-reasoned post instead of what you have. Even your edit with "reasons" was terrible. I recommend going back to the drawing board and trying again.

I tell ya everyone who's still keeping their wii u is keeping it only for the few games that Nintendo only announced, which they should have delivered in the very beginning as a system seller. games like (a new!) zelda for example. and i bet those games are being delayed so Nintendo will end up saying "sorry, will only be released on our next gen console but not on wii u!". I seriously woudnt be surprised. You know why the Wii U sucks? Because Nintendo management sucks.

i wouldnt say the wii u sucks...its definitely doesnt have the caliber of games like ps4 and Xone has.
But it definitely has some unique gems available and is worth playing from time to time.

If you can only buy one system i wouldnt recommend the wii u, but it is a good secondary system to have. (much like the nintendo systems have been since N64.)
