The TaiG team has released their 8.1.3-8.3 iOS Jailbreak today in preparation of MSS (Mobile Security Summit)!

It should be noted that today is your LAST CHANCE Next Tuesday** is your last chance to get on the iOS 8.3 jailbreak train, as 8.4 GM comes out 6/30 and reportedly patches the exploit used in this jailbreak [hence the release]

Be warned that essential tweaks are not ready as this was another surprise release, though expect Cydia substrate to be compatible within the next day or so.

Edit:
If you have the iTunes Driver not detected issue and you are on iTunes 12.1, download this driver hotfix http://123.94.24.134/3d3f0df6000000...yueyu.com/Data/itunes/iTunesDriver64_0205.exe

TaiG was in competition with PanGu, both produce reliable untethers.
I personally have run all the way from absinthe (5.0.x) to TaiG (8.3) and can say TaiG's untether is not terrible, though the initial releases sometimes have some big issues, but they have fixed them every time. So far 8.3 does not seem to have big issues.

evad3rs [evasi0n jailbreak] was for iOS 6.0-6.1.2
evad3rs [evasi0n7 jailbreak] was for iOS 7.0.x [all 7.0.x firmware]
Then from here PanGu and TaiG battled it out for 7.1- PanGu released 7.1-7.1.x; though TaiG had their own release as well, which could be used on one firmware notch above PanGu Team's JB.
The latest PanGu version jailbroke iOS 8.0-8.1.2.
Now TaiG released the 8.1.3-8.3 [and 8.4b2] jailbreak.

Hold off for now until Cydia Substrate is fixed for 8.3. I will post here when it happens.
What device are you using? I can tell you if its worth the upgrade.
I am running iOS 8.3 on my iPad 2 right now, and its much better than 8.1.2, though there are still hickups [from the old hardware].

Still on iOS 8.1.2 on my iPT5 though.

The 5C should be capable to handle 8.3 fine.
I wouldn't worry about the blobs on a jump from 8.0.x to 8.3.
If you were on iOS 7 or 8, I would suggest saving the blobs.

I would definitely recommend the upgrade AFTER the jailbreak becomes more stable [in the next few days/a week] I will post back.

You would notice far better performance on 8.1.x compared to 8.0.x, so hopefully 8.3 will be good for you!

Yes, I was misinformed- its next Tuesday. You have a week to upgrade.
And yes, there are rumors it will work on 8.4 [based on 8.4b4- however it has also been suggested that 8.4GM will patch the 8.3 exploits, so its 50/50 at this point]. Sorry for the confusion.

i am reading all kinds of complaints about this already, of people not being able to get it working and getting stuck at 20%
think i will pass the ios scene sucks nothing ever works right , TU doesn't work either i never JB cause i can never get SHSH backed up case all the tools on this scene are just utter garbage that rely on other garbage software like itunes

GM = Global Master [last developer release/same as public]
As for iFaith, I don't remember if it supports the 5C, but the process is easy enough - connect, DFU, dump. You will find out if it works or not easily.

TU is shit, unreliable. The dev is aware and stated he is working on a new version.
The 20% issue is the iTunes 12.1 bug on x64 bit machines- I even had it on the first try.
You can avoid this by installing iTunes 11.1 x64 for the JB.

Also the blobs are saved locally on HDD. Server cache was discontinued after iOS 6.1.3.

yeah i already have itunes 11 i never update my itunes , but still can't get TU working
guess i will try ifaith but i think it won't work either, i thought the new TU was specifically updated for the newer fw's, ifaith i don't think has been updated in ages

even if i do manage to get SHSH backed up it still doesn't sound like a good idea to update to FW that i will have to rely on an unstable JB
my other phone is on 7 i haven't JB the one on 7 or the one 8 cause i want to back up 1st
but from what i hear pangu7 and this new JB are shit compared to evasion not as reliable or stable
i was hoping evasions was going to make a new tool for later FW thats what i was waiting for i really don't trust these chinese teams

I'm not suggesting do this but I did a clean install of my system. I could never upgrade Windows 8 to 8.1 and saw this as the perfect opportunity to do it. I got 8.1 fine after a clean install, installed 12.0.1 iTunes and did the TaiG JB first time with absolutely no hassle. I don't understand how everybodys having troubles but like I say, It worked completely fine for me, whether thats because I did a clean install I dont know. This is my first JB so im still getting used to it. Don't know what tweaks to get etc. First thing I did was add 5 icons at the dock and download Cartoon HD 2 though :D

Heads up! TaiG 2.1.2 is officially out! Feel free to jailbreak now!
Substrate is compatible, the "20%" bug and such are fixed.
If you already jailbroke no need to worry, the patch is available via Cydia!

I went from 8.1 to 8.3 on ipod 5th gen, I think there is a large performance jump between those versions, there are still some 7.x tweaks I need that haven't updated to 8x yet unfortunately
