Got an Acekard 2i a right before rhs was shut down.

Unfortunately, it takes at least two tries to turn the damn thing on every time I want to play (though it has never frozen on me mid game).

Anyway, I'm going to upgrade to something better - hopefully in the forty dollar range. Anybody know reliable places to buy good flash carts now?

I'm using an NDS Lite by the way, so I'm not worried about DSi support.

Those basically run Wood R4, right?

The main reason I got an Acekard was to have a bigger microSD card (original R4 had 2GB max). If that's got the same functionality without all the contact issues, I may just go with it.

But I remember back in the day cards like the Cyclo were the top of the line.

i am pretty sure that r4 (the one i recommended) works with 32gb cards..
it uses wood, but i heard it is a bit modified... but not sure on this

The very first R4 didn't. I tried other other MicroSD cards. Edit: Sorry, misread your post. Yeah, I only need support up to 16GB anyway (and really, 8GB would be more than enough to hold all the NDS games I would ever play).

A shame to hear that the DS carts are dying off. I'll probably order an R4i Gold 3DS RTS tomorrow (what a silly name).

that is correct, the first one only supported sd, non-hc..
but then the clones\upgrades\fakes appeared and now almost any r4 does..
well it can have a silly name, but does that really matter? it does the job.. there are even cheaper ones, but technicmaster will tell you they usually got a slow menu, others don't support the new 3ds firmwres etc..
that one is the best... unless you can get a DSTWO, but its out of stock everywhere, some stores are selling it for inflation prices... (like 60+ dollars)
not worth it for thoose prices...

Just got the R4i 3DS RTS in the mail. Can somebody direct me to the proper kernel for this particular card?

Edit: Never mind found it.
