Hacking [?] Differences between MicroSD and MiniSD EZ Flash IV

I was wondering what flashcard I should buy.
I know EZ Flash IV is pretty much my only choice, but I noticed there was two versions.

Besides the type of SD card they take are there any other differences between the MicroSD and the MiniSD versions?

there is no difference.. it's just one that is black, and the other is white.
one has a mini sd slot and other a micro sd slot
i seen someone saying the black one is spring loaded (but who cares about just a spring)
i think the black one got a better built shell but its just a supposition... (judging by the sd card position they may as well just used a black spray and put a different sticker on the shell)

and the black one already comes with 1.75 or 1.76 firmware, while the white one probably comes with a older version.. but that doesn't mean anything, you can flash whatever firmware you want, keep in mind that using the last firmware (with the skin you like and the reset tweak) is what you should do..

you can do like almost everyone who had the mini sd version (myself for example) is to get a micro sd to mini sd adapter...
i did get a 512mg mini sd (1 euro for it, found on ebay equivalent website) but the new update break the support for that mini sd card.. so now i use an adapter with a 1\2gb micro sd card

but i would go with the black version, seems more nice and no need for adapter..

but i am not sure if they are reliable\trustable... since i never ordered from them or heard someone order from them..
if i were you i would get it from nds-card, it can take 45 days but its a trusted store...

Chollomedia is cheaper, credit card payment accepted for international orders and x2 additional battery included to avoid "battery dry" message in a future.

Wait, the new FW breaks compatability with mini sd cards? That would explain some issues.

it breaks compatibilty with lower capacity cards, that means if you have for example a 512 mb card, most likely it will not work
micro sd, mini sd or sd are basically the same thing just different sizes..

I have a 2gb mini SD. That gonna work? I've been having some issues. Even made a thread.

can't say for sure, it should work..
if this doesn't work heres what happens and what you can do:

you update to 1.76 firmware, after reset you find the card doesn't go to menu or appears a glitch screen
if this happens you will have to get a SD HC card (for example a 4gb micro sd with an adapter) and update it back to 1.74 (or 1.72)
this will restore the card back

you may try to update it back with the sd card that is not working, but i don't think it will detect it..
