Hacking Looking for 9.0 firmware New 3DS non-XL in the UK

Hey guys
Just moved to the UK (Sunderland city) for studying and I'm wondering if I can get a non-XL new 3DS around the area (Newcastle-Sunderland) at <=9.2. How much should it be?

Get the list of serials from the other thread, go around shops and ask to check the serial numbers. Anything starting with Y is safe, otherwise you'll have to check the list.

Only the non-xl ones can start with Y.

So technically, they (non-XL) are all safe as long as they are brand new out of the box?

Not all of them, but it's a lot easier to find a 9.0 non-XL one than a 9.0 XL.
If you check the list, everything below YEM1015 is confirmed safe.

no, look at the thread and aim for a serial number below the highest recorded 9.0-9.2
so for a black model you would want something below/around these serials
YEM1015 (Black)
YEM1013
YEM1010 (Black) - Confirmed
and white would be around or below these
YEF1009 (White)
YEF1007 (White)
YEF1006 (White)

anything higher than those and your taking a risk, anything much higher and the risk is greatly increased.......so aim for YEM1014 or lower for black and YEF108 or lower for white for pretty much guaranteed 9.0-9.2 (assuming its brand new)

Goodluck in the uk all N3DS's are now selling on 102x not 101x which is what you would want, trust me you will need it, if I was you forget the shops m8 I have tried myself everywhere in all shops towns, Brum, Notts, Leicester, leeds, Derby, Manchester just about all apart from London ways, just get on ebay and buy one from there, you should get one as long as the seller will work with you, just remember if the seller starts saying I wont give serial numbers or proof of firmware to you then right it off and try with another!

I have a n3ds XL on 9.0 if you are interested. I would sell it with a gateway too. I am preferring the sky3ds to be honest and I already have another console on 9.4.

Honestly, I would try Amazon.UK

I ordered a White New 3DS from there on the 19th and received a 9.0 system. Alternatively, you can try local stores using serials like people have mentioned already. Good luck!

Yeah, I know. The OP is looking for a standard New 3DS, which a couple people have ordered from Amazon UK in white in the last few weeks and have received 9.0 systems. XL systems are a lot harder to find. It's no guarantee by any means, but just giving my own personal experience as a reference.

True, I think the XL is more popular which is why it is more likely to have new firmware.

I think I'll find a game store in Newcastle where I can go pick the system by myself as in Sunderland, there are only few stores and non of them have 3DS in stock.

or bite the bullet as it were and buy a brand new ambassador n3ds from ebay, they ship 9.0

I dont, really. And I was about to do that. But thinking of buy a 9.0 nonXL 3DS for the same price (it should be the same I think) as a new one... Then I would pick up a brand new one locally.
