"Coming this Winter for everything."

Well, I guess for every developer realizing that it's time to start moving on to the current gen for good, there are still those that will be developing on last gen until next gen is a thing. As for this game, well, it's a Lego game. You know exactly what you're getting now that we've had a thousand of the things.

Aren't people fed up with the formula already?

I just don't like the Lego games. Remembers me of Kirby Epic Yarn. You do something, but there is no challenge or sense to it.
And the "jokes" are nothing I can laugh about. Time to buy some real Lego and make my own story! Way more fun! ^_^

But I guess it's a good game for beginners or kids - on the other hand: Buy some real Lego for them!

or you know, get them both. real lego is primarily for building. nothing like the lego games. and they're great fun to play with a little brother. i speak from experience. i'm 27 my brother is 11. the lego games are absolutely fantastic for us to play together.

I see where you're coming from - and I agree. Of course it's a great way to play together.

One should just not buy only games, that is more what I meant. But your solution is even better. ;)

Wait, what? Didn't we already get a Lego Avengers game back when the first movie came out?

Almost, that was a Lego Marvel game not entirely based on the MCU that also prominently featured Spider-Man and those X-Men and Fantastic Four which Mickey Mouse now really wants to bury out of the mainstream public consciousness because of Rupert Murdoch. This one seems to be entirely MCU-based (and therefore 100% Disney-Marvel-execs-approved).

Ah, I see. I still find it so weird that they didn't make that a full fledged Avengers game. It came out the same year the Avengers came out (I think?) along with the LEGO Avengers line, and was pretty obviously inspired by the MCU... There was even a poster that was essentially a LEGO version of the Avengers movie poster.
