I would prefer faster than audio. And thanks for all the updates and sharing the hardships in your work. Hang in there!:yaypsp:

Question: How can one apply the 4.10 patch to the game? Do i need a clean ISO (japanese) or is there a ISO with the translation on it already? If I do need a clean ISO, how does one incorporate said patch? Thank you for answer in advance :)

P.S if there is a ISO with the translation on it. how does one update to the 4.10 patch. Unless, there is in fact an ISO with the new patch on a website. If so, just tell me, and I'll go looking for it myself :P

I used a regular expression this time: '#\dW' to match the codes. Which means: Literal "#" + any digit + literal "W"

There's a massive difference between #0W (the default) and #1W. #0W is twice as fast as #1W, or, put another way, #1W is half the speed of #0W.
There's another huge difference between #1W and #2W. #1W is 50% faster than #2W. There's less of a difference between the others.

I could have rounded down (fast), but when I did that all the lines were too fast, so I decided to go with rounding to the nearest. Now, most of the lines are still too fast, some are just right, and some are just a little too slow. I think it's perfect. I'm not going to adjust the timing for each line individually.

Pre:
Post: (recorded from 4.12)

Patch 4.13
-Timing for 'timed lines' (not necessarily voiced) has been improved.
-Script changes

So I've just joined this site to quickly express my gratitude and appreciation for the continued efforts of those involved with translating this game. It's is so awesome that revisions are still being done to shape this game into the best most enjoyable version for us foreigners who weren't even supposed to get this game to begin with! So thank you so much.
Now to the true purpose of this post, I have applied the latest patch that tweaked the dialogue speed in voiced/timed dialogue events and have came across an instance where this might have been looked over. I am currently on my first play through (normal) and the aforementioned instance occurs right after you meet the guardian king Algol face-to-face; Nayuta has a flashback of his encounter with Selam and a still frame of him appears on screen while is dialogue is voiced. It is in this segment where the text moves at a snail's pace. I know it isn't the most glaring issue but again I don't know if this was just simply missed.

Well there at least six different kinds of opcodes with text display.
98 is the most common one. That's the dialogue bubbles you see.
41 I think is second. It's a giant box that is centered on the screen. Can be transparent, as with the first couple lines in the game. Unlike the others, it can have up to 10 lines of text.
40 is third. It's a giant box that takes up the entire lower half of the screen.
07 is for tutorial announcements, like at the end of the first scene.
35/36 is for choice boxes, like when you speak w/ Eartha.
C9 is for the yes/no box (I think there's only one of these in the game).
And CE is for the player objective that appears on the sub-screen.
And 3F is for dialogue name box.

So I didn't think the 40 opcodes had any voiced lines, but I was wrong. XD.
Sure enough, they are there at 3002c 0x5149 (line 255).

Thanks for the patch. I have enjoyed playing the game and I am already on NG+. But I have a question about the trophies, there are a few I don't get, the Michey one and the all weapons too. I have all weapons, armors for Nayuta and I am missing one item for Noi its the one right of the cat ears accessory, where do I find it?

For the Michey trophy, you have to find him in the town once in every chapter. He is always outdoors somewhere on the island, and there are 9 chapters, so you have to find him 9 different times. Every time you find him the percent should go up about 11.1%. The last head piece for Noi is from completing the entire museum collection.

Have you been able to get 100% with the monster log using the newest patch? I have some friends that were holding off on playing this because the monster log was bugged when I got all the trophies, and I had to fill out the monster log on the unpatched Japanese Iso. I was playing with 4.08, but I hear that the monster log bug was fixed? Can anyone confirm?

Could you please post where he pops up? So I can get the trophy in NG+ As for the monster log yes it can be filled to the 100% in the patch.

So I am missing two items for that one. One is the Tyrant Dragon head and the other is a piece that goes between the Judgment Mirror and the Planetary Orb. Any ideas where can I find the items?

Michey is in a different place every chapter, and there are 9 different chapters. I don't remember where he is in every chapter. You need to look for him in each chapter, and only proceed to the next chapter after you made sure you found him. I don't remember where the Tyrant Dragon Head is, but when I was missing certain items like that I would just go to different levels randomly and destroy all the objects and enemies as fast as possible with the equipment on Noi that makes collectables drop more often. The other item you are missing is the Model Flying Plane, I think you get it from a secret quest that isn't given from the handy shop mailbox. I think you have to talk to the doctor in chapter 2 maybe to get this quest.

So I just found why the cwcheat codes I i stumbled upon werent properly working, or well not all were working, the english patch seems to have shifted(?) The values of the items, so when activated they make the game crash. I managed to use a clean version to get all items then load the patched version and that works. I saved a non hacked version anyways so I eventually will resume the search for the tyrant dragon head.

Edit forgot to mention I am on V4.13

Get a clean Iso and the Xdelta patcher, with the Xdelta patcher exe file, simply select the pacth, the clean iso and the output path and file name, make sure it ends as .iso too.

I am on the chapter where I have to go to the third continent, where is the cat? I have ran upside down the village three times, I checked where Nayuta's master lives, I checked every house, I checked the 2nd floor of the bar/inn of the general store too, the elder house, the weapon shop, the cape, the cape ruins, nayuta's house, the farmers house, the docks, the museum. I don't see the cat anywhere. Ideas?

The only places I can think of that are even remotely hard to find him is when he is hiding behind a rock at the bottom right area of the coast where the master guy is, and another time where he is in this side area right above the graveyard.

He was in the general item store, 2nd floor, outside to be exact in the left column, but out of sight I found him by sheer dumb luck.

Found him all the remaining times. Now I have completed the game to 100%.

This is an announcement regarding the project status.
SkyeWelse is the graphic artist for this game. He is working on the mini-movies that are in the .itv files, that display the first time you enter each area and at the start of each boss fight. These files are challenging to work on because each of 50+ frames must be edited for each file. For reasons I can't discuss, the details of the tool used to edit .itv will not be discussed here, and I myself don't have access to the tool that is being used for this.
TLDR: The next patch won't be out for awhile.

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank the GBAtemp users for helping me with bug testing, and especially those who reported any bugs. This project would be literally impossible without your help. I truly thank you. Thanks to your efforts, over 1,000 people have enjoyed the patch thus far.
