Hacking which should i use for r4i 3ds gold?

after a friend heard about what happened to me last week, they ordered one from dsflashcart and i picked it up from his place just an hour ago, (did not need another incident w/ my previous experience w/ peach.) when he was ordering " do you need a microSD w/ it? as count this yourbirthday gift early~ you aint getting squat from me on the 27th you know." i simply said "no. i told you what happened before i have the microsd from that which i'm tossing the last of my $$ on the 10th at for atleast that."

so i got the card w/o the kernel. do i use YSMenu? or Wood? i hear wood's behind YSMenu but it's menusystem resembles AKAIO's, and YSMenu is more upto date.

i still have downloaded the latest RetoFan Multi cart update but for this card what do i use from the big zip for this if i go w/ YSMenu? i've got it working w/ Wood atm but, the only question i'm curious of it has a "3DS Setup" whats that for?

your post is confusing, i dont understand it... you should clean it, remove the talk with your friend and just ask the questions straight...

simple scroll down to the pictures of that card and put the files on the micro sd card

and please, what are your exact questions? it's confusing to know what you are asking

btw, the 3ds setup, either is the gateway setup, or the update for a 3ds with high firmware... but i don't think it is the last one. i am not sure what you are asking

simply, try the files from the website (wood menu) if that works then there is no problem and why you should fix something that works?
if it doesn't work, then you try ysmenu

how do i go about getting it as a quick search shows no Versions for the r4i 3ds gold, whole bunch of clones though. (would this mean w/ no spefic version i need to DLDI patch/DLDI-NoPatch the YSMenu.nds for this card?)

and sorry if im confusing or asking so many questions before the last bit of schtick that happened w/ PeachDS and the Dead R4i SDHC that last flashcard i had was an AceKard 2i and it was just simple keeping that updated.

yea just i got it w/o a Microsd (there it didnt come w/ one loaded w/ wood/YSMenu) as i had one allready for it from before.

ok, either way. this is what you should do to make that card work
format a micro sd card (any up to 32 gb) with this https://www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter_4/index.html
choose format type full overwrite and adjust size ON

download this file, and unzip to the micro sd card http://filetrip.net/dl?FhXOBrY7vI
if you did it right, on the root of the micro sd card there should be this file: "_DS_MENU.DAT" and this folder: "__rpg"
then you just create a folder with the name you want and put your games on it

if you follow the instructions i gave you, its all you have to do... simple as that...

tell me if it worked. or you had problems.

if the card doesn't show up (or says error as ocurred) on your 3ds you may need to update it using a old ds...

it works and shows up but if i need to update it in the future i have my trusty DSi (on 1.4.4 since like i mentioned earlier i used to have an AK2i for the longest time. )
