Is this supposed to be normal or is my gamepad defective? I never noticed any noise from my gamepad until recently, when i played smash bros for the first time... The rumble sounds like the vibration from an old nokia phone...

If you have smash, turn down the volume of the TV, keep the right stick pressed to charge a smash attack and pay close attention to the sound coming from the rumble.

This is the first time that i notice any sound from a rumble device... and i have several consoles.

Is this normal or my rumble is getting deffective?

Thanks.

WHAT?! I'M SO INTERESTED!

Sorry about the caps but this is the most exciting thing yet I've read about the GamePad. Please upload a video about it. ^_^

Here is the video, play close attention to the smash movement on Link, and how it translates to the pitch and intensity of the rumble noise:

Is this considered to be normal??... the Wii U Pro Controller has a lot more intense rumble and is a lot quieter...

Yep, the video's private.

The rumble on the GamePad is of one like on a phone while the WUPC has proper rumble as a gaming controller should.

I know my Gamepad is really loud too, especially when I play Bayonetta 2 and action-heavy cutscenes are happening. I never really noticed it before that happened at a friend's house, so I can't tell you if it's normal or not.

Oh that's just normal, it just so happens the GamePad has one of the shitty rumbles from smartphones therefore it feels noisy and strange to gamers who aren't used to it.

Also, to be honest, I forgot about it because I disabled it as it's so freaking terrible. lol
