Also found some files in the "hgmail" folder, which is for Pokemon. Contains the messages that you get from the holocast.... Wonder if it was possible to put a payload in it, which would trigger an exploit in Pokemon....

if you going to reply a post with "i don't know" just don't answer at all..do not want to be rude.. but is pretty useless answer i dont know.. either add something\talk something or don't..
what if everyone answered "i dont know" to every person asking something? when someone doesn't answer is pretty obvious they don't know the answer >:C

My guess is that the "I don't know" is frowned upon because its only purpose is to up your post count. While double posts are unnecessary, if they contribute to the discussion they're less of an "issue"

Regarding the topic: As the file you mentioned is called httpCacheIndex I think it's pretty safe to assume it's your browser cache. The pictures, specifically the ones mentioning Pokemon are probably generic images that get used on the default default page (yes, double default) of the 3DS browser, so that's likely why they are located in your cache.

Maybe, that is a possibility. Since it's got more "Pokemon" content in it, it may be possible that it's a cache that Pokemon uses when downloading Holocast feed... I dunno - it's all speculation... The links in the file are actually legit, too - I haven't taken a look at the contents of the files are, that these links point to.

Eh. My thread - my rules. At least I'm contributing something relevant to the topic. If you're using a mobile device, you'll know why it's such a pain in the ass to keep all responses in one comment.

Is that sarcasm? Seriously.. The file that contains the Holocast messages are pretty much plain text... Surely it would be somewhat exploitable, right? Just think - someone exploits the game and a possible new Ninjhax could be made for newer firmwares as I'm sure Pokemon already has SD card access, too...

Which one? I could get the CIA and dump the extdata from that.

The extdata where applications store junk, like where playcoin is installed. Just play Pokemon until you recieve the holocast, and then when it recieves content via Spotpass, it gets stored in the extdata. I used Ninjhax to dump my extdata. I doubt you could extract the content from a .CIA as the content is downloaded from the net...

even if it was possible, we would need to be hacked to inject exdata
