man I always talk about 9.7 anyways so I heard about being able to load homebrew ds games on action replay on dsi but I would like to know if this would work with the infamous 3ds 9.7 unhackable update before I spend over 20$ on it and by homebrew I mean like snesemuds nesds DSDoom Dscraft etc.

link to were I found this info:

yah that is what I was gonna get but just wondering if action replay can run ds homebrew on 9.7 3ds cuz I want meh bubzy on 3ds

i am not sure but i wouldnt recommend you to use a action replay.. in the video the dude says it doesnt work with a 3ds, probably it was blocked...
you said on another thread you was short on money
a real ds card like that one is a much better and superior in several ways..

keep in mind, that thing doesnt support SDHC, the flashcart can
it will stick out of the console. a flashcart will not.
someone else continues the list..

i am surprised he mentioned the HC for that level of stupidity..
the action replay website says the card works on any firmware.. (they released updates)

anyway, i know early Action replay deviced needed a DS card to fake sign.. i am not sure if its still the case and you will require a ds game to boot the action replay..

i own a DSTWO, which is better with snes emulation... because it got an extra cpu.. (but only a emulator designed for it will use it) but they are not sold anymore and very hard to find :/

yeah the video is really bad quality, but can show you that it plays at a good framerate..
its almost 1 am, i shouldnt be making movies :(

in snesmullds it runs even better.
however i noticed some controlls weirdness, i am not sure if this is suposed to happen on the real game, sometimes i jump and he goes in a weird tragectory.. i may play on the pc to check if the same thing happens, but i am off to bed now

Do yourself a favour and do not get a r4 sdhc dual core. It's kernel is slow as hell, has some stupid features and the real time features are buggy/ with low compatibility.
The r4i gold 3ds RTS (r4ids.cn) is much better.

The Action Replay is just an Action Replay and a Game n' Music fussed together. So it can run patched homebrew using the Game n' Music DLDI. This was actually common knowledge since the card was launched.
Of course it actually lacked the ability to launch roms, so it's only limited to homebrew and emulation.

Mine isn't and it was updated to the latest firmware they released for it. I could just have an older one, but it seems unlikely since they did make a 3DS cheating device.
Your best bet for a DS flashcard working on a 3DS is either an R4i Gold or Supercard DSTwo.

If I'm correct they did make ar for the 3ds but it only did D's games and homebrew for D's (your thinking of the power save)

Like you said an r4i gold or supercars dstwo is best but you can run homebrew and emus (no D's tho) on a dsi at on a dsi or D's but not on a 3ds

I do recall something like that coming out, but it was pretty short lived in my area.
It just seems like the amount effort used on the card could easily be replaced by just buying a card that already works perfectly and it appears Nintendo has stopped blocking them.

Well the power save never went into the 3ds but on a PC to edit 3ds files (for hack Pokemon)
But yeah never buy an ar unless you only want cheats
