Hacking How do I use use a new memory card for my GW ROMS? Also what's VRAM install?

Ok so I think I'm going to DL Attack on Titan for the community, but I need to use my 4 GB memory card. I tried transferring my 2GB memory card info to my 4GB memory card but my 3DS bricks/crashes whenever I use my 4 GB card as opposed to my 2GB card, I thought I remember hearing something about only being able to have one card tied to each 3DS or something but I"m a lil confused... Also what's the new INSTALL VRAM thing in the GW menu??

The NVRam installer is only usefull for people with a n3ds at the moment. It's needed for making the ds profile exploit work again with n3ds.

What do you mean by bricks/crashes?

So I moved over everything from my 2GB card to my 4GB card and it crashes whenever I try and launch GW mode. Since I've updated it to get on e-shop the only way I can get into GW mode is by leaving the game cartridge out. Anyways I just tried formatting the EMUNAND on my 4GB card without having the cartridge in and it still crashes. I mean I copied over my NAND and everything else before. Maybe I should just copy the launcher and gateway files? I don't know, but pretty much I can only get my one card to work and it's too small for me to DL a game from the eshop...

Well you can try what you just said, if that doesnt work try to format your 4gb card.

It's better to leave it alone instead of double posting. It just causes more chaos.

Maybe it was cuz I didn't use exFAT for my microSD? Anyways I formatted both on exFAT hope it'll be okay for the reg SD card?

Wait, from what i know (correct me if wrong) exFAT does not work with 3ds.

Got it. I just formatted everything on my 4GB card EMU and SYSNAND exFAT for micro SD, now finally GW launches. But it's been launching slower on the newest version...

System SD card needs to be FAT32. mSD's for carts (Blue/Red cards) can be exFAT.

Good news is that system SD card can be 64/128GB as long as you format it in FAT32. Which is possible. Although some have run into issues doing so. Mostly speed issues. Has to do with the FAT32 format system.

Again, the slow down has to do with FAT32 and file size transfers. Another reason why Class 10 is more important than UHS. Most SDXC cards are both UHS-1 and Class 10, but you can always check it for the 10 inside the C on the card itself. If it has a 4 inside the C that could be another reason for the slow-down. FAT32 will rely more upon Class X.

Since the SD cards are so small, chances are you have SDHC. If that's the case, might want to check their Class number. They're probably native FAT32 anyhow.

So FAT32 for system SD
exFAT for GW Blue/Red Cards.
