From which of these three games would you recommend?

I've decided that I want to go with either Phantasy Star or Crysis 2 rather than Borderlands but in terms of fun + replayability, would you say that it'd be Phantasy Star or Crysis 2?

These games are pretty cheap nowadays but since I'm getting for almost free I'd like to pick one I'd enjoy the most.

Crysis 2 makes a nice shooter, if you like FPS games. Definitely plays better than 1 did.

Borderlands is an excellent co-op game, I'd mostly recommend buying it if you have friends you'll play it with, playing singleplayer is still fun but gets boring after a bit.

IIRC, PSU was a sub-par MMO/kind of singleplayer RPG that few people actually liked. I'm sure if you're a fan of the PS series you might like it, but it's supposedly pretty meh so...

Choose whatever one appeals to you most.

Think I'll go with Crysis 2 as I do enjoy fun FPS games and the ability to be invisible is quite neat.

I'll pick the two others later at some point.

I would rather get any other FPS than Crysis. Which game you pick depends on which genre you like the best, but avoid anything Crysis IMO. Especially since I heard it lags a lot on 360.

Crysis 2 runs miles better than 1 on the 360. The only prevalent lag issues is on multiplayer stuff, but I can only assume he won't touch it since it's probably been long dead.

Borderlands is very fun...

...but seeing how this is all on a console, I'd go with the single non-FPS on it. I've never played any phantasy star game, but I wouldn't even play an FPS on a console if it was given to me for free. No offense to those games; they're most likely very good FPS'es for their kind...but just get them for a PC if at all possible.
