I just received my psp and decided to look for a game. thinking that maybe the psp wifi connection might end soon I decided to look for a game with a good online experience. I am already planning on trying out phantasy star but I don't like to start of new games when its not in the beginning so I might take a while getting to those games. I also don't want games were there is a Nintendo version of it (Monster Hunter) because I will probably try to try them in those systems. Any recommendation would be appreciated.

I remember seeing a thread that listed all games that still use online features, but it looks like that thread was deleted for some reason.

EDIT: Nevermind, looks like it just doesn't want to load in Tapatalk. It works in a browser.
according to that thread servers are already getting shut down, so probably some of those suggestion could probably be shut down.
I want to know what is still currently active for online mode.

As you can see a lot of people play MH3rd and DBZ, but there are other games that are active too.
Its possible to connect with PSP, PC and with smartphones. And from the things that i have read online, cross play btw all 3 devices works.

Not sure, but I think Patapon 3 is still online. (Since Patapon 4 is just a distant dream.)

Of course, it's worth noting that PSP online games are crowded with hackers and bugs that can screw your save files for good. (Mainly Phantasy Star Portable 2.)

That said, backup often and enjoy.

Ace Combat Joint Assault still works, however it's a ghost town. But if you make a game and leave it running, someone might join, it happened to me a few times, even within the past month.

I'm actually waiting for the servers for Phantasy Star Portable 2 to go down before playing it, since I hear that hackers can corrupt your memory card so I'm like "heeell no".

PSP online is practically a lost cause at this point, even if a game hasn't had its servers shut down, nobody is playing it anyway. Resistance Retribution is prob your best bet, but according to someone in the 2014-psp-online-multiplayer-games thread, the servers are going down this month. (on the 15th I think he said)

I'd recommend you Summon Night 5 for the PSP. There's a poll to gather interest for a physicall release. You are not buying or paying for anything now, it's just a form to gauge interest. If enough people sign up saying they would like to buy copies, then the production process will get underway and the email address you use will already be signed up to to be notified when the preorders start.

Remember, YOU'RE NOT PAYING ANYTHING NOW, it's just to get an idea on how many people would like to have copies. I personally like to have physical copies in hand over digital stuff you don't really ever own, hence my support for this project.
