Ok, so for one who doesn't like to read through 100's of pages to find the right one, could you link me the right legit card to use for my dsi?

I'm mostly going to play normal nds games anyways. (or is there some dsi only games out there?)

Preferably the cheapest store in EU. And which supports paypal. I do not shop online without it. (money back guarantee ftw!)

Learn to fish instead of asking people to cook for you all the time. The links provided look like they give as much possible information on DSi carts to satisfy your needs. It doesn't list specific carts, but the post will surely give you enough information on how to find one.

You want the R4i Gold (r4ids.cn model)

That's important since there are many different manufacturers that use the same name and they are all completely different carts, but this specific cart is second only to the DSTWO which is hard to get ahold of now as they stopped producing it.

Ordered it now and thankfully it supported paypal! And it was quite cheap to be a R4I gold since the last price i saw of it was 25 bucks.

There was a site that had them for just over $11 they are gone now sadly.
I think $15 is the average price from China.

No, there are no slot 1 flashcarts that use regular SD cards, I'm not sure there ever has been.

Maybe some of the first slot 2 cards did, and they certainly wouldn't work with cards that big.

I remember one option used a Compact Flash card, it was ridiculous.

NinjaDS comes to mind. One of the first slot 1 flashcarts and it took SD cards. Was twice the length of a regular DS cart though

Nope not possible, DS mode can't access the SD slot in the DSi.

They did. See sudokuhax and CycloDS iEvolution.
Neither enabled loading roms from the DSi SD card though, since sudokuhax is anti-piracy and CycloDS is a flashcart.
Someone claimed sudokuhax works on 3DS, but there's still the problem of anti-piracy, and I haven't been able to find anything more on this. CycloDSi also works on 3DS with flashcartimewarp.cia installed (or a really old firmware). It's possible someone could still make something for sudokuhax that would enable rom loading.

I haven't unblocked any DS carts on my 3DS yet, but DSi mode of the iEvo still works on my 3DS 4.1 firmware, which is about useless because there isn't much to do with it. With all the exploits being found for the 3DS I wonder why none have been found for the DSi?

Well there were already two savegame exploits in DSi mode (50 games collection and cooking mama) and a DSi Shop game exploit (known as NINJHAX and later GTRPWN and some other ones).
There is even a relatively new exploit that works up to the latest FW but no one has enough interest to make a flashcard out of it.
