Firstly, try loading an ISO from another device on it. Like a USB stick or SD.
If they load, it's the HDD issue.

the problem is he is a lazy f...er and wanted to use the sd card i sent him, could have sworn i never had an issue but i told him buy a usb lol. thanks i used modmii to make sure that syscheck was all set and it wasnt so maybe all he needs is a sandisk

I hoped it cured procrastination, but made it worse...

he could at least try to dump the game with another homebrew.
CleanRIP will save to the device you want (SD, USB, SMB I think).

Even if he doesn't want to use USB HDD, he can try to use an USB Adapter with the SD card to use back USB ports instead of front SD and use another USBLoader or homebrew.

Just note that flash drives have more issues than Hard Drives with USBLoader's device detection and writing features.
USBLoaderGX often freeze when dumping a disc to flashdrive, while it works with HDD.

Greetings boy am I glad to see you I known you know your stuff, now the issue we are having is I have both my Wii and his, I am using a sandisk 16bg formatted fat32 on a Wii without a vulnerable boot2 now his Wii is using a 64gb pny flash drive. With dios mios I noticed I can reboot back to my launcher and procced to pick another game but his system sometimes crashes, I noticed it seemed to be the pny so I'm trying mine now.

he could at least try to dump the game with another homebrew.

I use to use a WD blue 500gb on a HDD dock that had external power I recommended it but I have never had problem on my wii both are 4.3u. His Wii randomly crashes sometimes with loading game zthrough dios mios, I know nintendont is better but I like resetting to my installed loader to pick another game. His new flash drive is a pny 64gb formatted fat32 mine is a 16 GB sandisk hopefully he just had a bad drive.

You messed up the reply and quote ;)
I can fix it for you if you want, but maybe you are currently editing your message so I don't touch it.

Let me know if using your flashdrive helps.
to me it's an external device issue, but it could be something else I didn't think of.
Like I said, flashdrives are not always working. hdd have more success with compatibility and stability.

I have heard this issue in particular is linked to dios mios crashing but I'm checking now to see if I can keep resetting. I'm sure he will be fine without it but its nice

You know, nintendont can exit back to the loader to pick another game too !
If you use DM/DML only for that feature, it's not an issue with nintendont.
The only requirement is you need to install the USBLoaderGX forwarder channel, and it will work like that automatically.

I'm sorry for my ignorance you see I just came from cfg because covers and cheats weren't working. I know its up to taste I actually prefer wiiflow but the real issue is we don't have any working wiimotes so everything has to be a installed file on priiloader. Honestly yes I really only used dios mios because I hit every button and was back to my laoder, from what I have ready nintendont has a 99% compatibility with GC games on a Wii so I figured that would fix his problems but I can't get nintendont to auto boot from my loader. Its been a journey just getting to this point. OK so regardless of my limitation because eventually we can buy wiimotes your telling me I can run dios mios and nintendont side by side with USB loader gx forwarder channel to get nintendont to reboot. Thanks for your help so far

Edit:OK I noticed the same thing happening again I let nintendont auto boot and sometimes it just shuts the Wii down. How can a Wii with boot2 not work as well as one with an updated boot2? My other Wii is a champ compared to this one

launching nintendont shutdown the console?
I didn't notice that behavior. Only DM/DML is doing this if it encounter a problem when booting.
Nintendont is displaying errors on screen if something is bad.

Whenever it tries to auto boot it shuts down. OK so I noticed I cannot load a game from a loader and have nintendont load automatically but the other Wii still sometimes just shuts off when using dios. If it doesn't encounter an error why does one encounter it but the other doesn't?

ok i suppose i wasnt using dm just for reset i hate how i cant just automatically go into a game with wiiflow so im going to try usb loader gx forwader and install usb loader gx in priiloader and see if it plays nice

there is something wrong with my brothers wii, i can use dios mios and nintendont and reboot into loader fine but his wii always just shuts down randomly occasionally.

so other than his wii crashing my only other problem is having nintendont but not being able to select a game with wiiflow as an installed file under priiloader and load the game it always takes me to usb or sd selection. hope i can iron this out the wii he is using use to be my personal one and never did this

going to reinstall mios and bc for however many time i have now. hope that does it since i know i cant uninstall cios and start over

Do not install USBLoaderGX in priiloader, or you'll have issues with launching nintendont.

You need to install the forwarder channel, then in priiloader you install a boot.dol which loads the forwarder which in turns loads the loader.
priiloader>forwarder>Loader
if you do Priiloader>Loader, then it will not have AHB access unless you are suing Priiloader beta.

But in all cases, it's better to follow the forwarder's choice.
1. install the forwarder channel (TitleID : UNEO)
2. install the loader to SD (apps/usbloader_gx/boot.dol, icon.png and meta.xml)
3. download the "3-in-1 pack" from googlecode and go to /wad/dol/ folder, you will find a "forwarder.dol", this is the one you need to install in priiloader.

DIOS MIOS is shutting down if HDD init encounter an issue, so it can shutdown due to specific flashdrive or HDD.
Sometime, HDD are not always initiating the same way between two reboot.
I have a "Seagate free agent go" HDD, 1 time out of 3 it shutdown DIOS MIOS, 2/3 it works.
out of the working state, sometime it works, sometime it freeze because it didn't detect the partition.

Nintendont never had any issue detecting the drive and partition from my SD or USB.

ok im going to try what you suggested but about the random crashing why would it happen on one wii and not the other? both have the exact same setup the issue is with mios but i am just so mad one works and the other doesnt...same flash drive on both so its not a compatibility issue

it's happening AND not happening on my Wii too.
It's random. it depend on my HDD initialization process.
I don't know why sometime it shutdown, sometime it freeze and sometime it works.

I don't know if your issue is the same as me, but it could be random too. did you try rebooting ~10 times?
if out of 10 times it never boot, then I don't know. sorry.

But with nintendont you should be fine now.
Priiloader without AHB>forwarder>enable AHB access>loader with AHB
System menu>Forwarder>enable AHB access>loader with AHB
from a Loader with AHB >nintendont with AHB> exit to forwarder>enable AHB access>loader with AHB

When you said
I let nintendont auto boot
, what do you mean by autoboot?
You installed nintendont in priiloader? it will not work because priiloader doesn't provide AHB access.
You need to launch nintendont from HBC or from a loader which is, as its turn, launched from HBC or a forwarder.

when i say sometimes i mean sometimes wii2 just shuts down when loading but wii1 never does. so i took your advice used a forwarder and dios and now i get failure once every 6 times i try to load a game instead ofonce every 2 or 3 times. with nintendont i misunderstood i though autoboot setting in nintendont would auto load the game you picked in loader. i dont like having to pick my game in cfg, wiiflow, then again in nintendont but oh well. so far it seems to be a console issue which never happened before now. so i guess dios mios crashes on his wii but not on mine so he will be using usb loader gx with the forwarder installed to priiloader. thanks for your help Cyan im suprised the devs behind wiiflow dont have autoboot into nintendont :( oh well rest in piece cfg

If you want to autoboot a game from a loader, you have to set the "autoboot setting" to ON in the loader, not in nintendont.
It's set to ON by default in USBLoaderGX.

The autoboot setting in nintendont itself is used to auto-reload the last played game if you launch nintendont directly from HBC.
When you launch a game from a loader, it sets that autoboot setting and also edit the "last played game" setting. then launch nintendont, and nintendont is doing it's own "loading last played game" which has been edited by the loader.
So it's all transparent for the user, you boot game from USBGX and nintendont loads it. You don't select it a second time.

im guessing there isnt an option for wiiflow? i know you may not know much but if i have to use gx it works great and you did great work. he said he wanted gamecube and wii games separate but this works too. seriously thank you so much

Wiiflow mastermod fixes this. thank you i have learned alot today now i will be using forwarders and nintendont for life
