Sorry if this is the wrong section for this. This is all on an original 3ds xl.

I downgraded my emunand from 9.5 to 9.2 so I could spoof the firmware version and do a system transfer.

I moved my emunand to my sysnand and everything boots fine and shows being on 9.2.

The problem is that I can no longer run any browser exploits such as gateway, rxtools or the spoofing. The browser just crashes with an error, freezes or in the case of gateway shows garbled colors.

I went back and made sure to reinstall the older browser again and the same thing.

I'm not sure what I'm missing here, but being this close to finally doing a system transfer is horrible to keep failing.

Nands are unlinked and that is the reason for having to move the eumnand over as that is what I have been using for months.

Thanks for any help!

Garbled colors means something is happening at least. Try clearing all browser data (there's a button in the browser settings) and trying to load an exploit afterwards without loading any other pages first. It might be as simple as that.
I'm assuming you have a hardmod since you attempted this and you also said you went back to reinstall the older browser.
It might be that you missed something when you downgraded. Moving emunand over to sysnand is a complicated process I don't really know that much about, but where did you get the firm0/firm1 partitions to inject into the NAND? (so as to not brick sysNAND). Do they match your firmware version?

Garbled colors means his FIRM is too new (ie 9.3 or higher)
False. I get garbled colors whenever I boot the browser exploit. Usually it goes black and loads the launcher after that, but sometimes it glitches up and gets stuck there. I imagine it would get stuck in the same way if the browser cache was causing issues.
However, that doesn't mean that's not the issue he's having (which is why I asked where he got the firm0/firm1 partitions)

Cleared cache multiple times. No idea what is meant about the firm0/firm1 part though.

I had to hardmod after discovering I couldn't get back into gateway or anything else.

i just realized if you installed the list of cia's i gave you i told you 0004013820000002 instead of 0004013800000002 because i thought you had a new3ds so this might be my fault.
you're probably still on NATIVE_FIRM v19216

Well then. Let me ask you a different question.
How did you copy the emuNAND onto your sysNAND? What are the steps you took, did you follow a guide?
I'm asking as copying emuNAND onto sysNAND (if it's above a certain firmware) without fixing the firm0/firm1 partition is known to brick sysNAND because Gateway modifies something in those partitions on newer emuNAND firmwares, so I just find it strange that you didn't brick if you don't know what those are :P

I had already finished the files before you sent the list so I just went off the comparison I ran.

I just used gateway to copy the emunand onto the sysnand and rebooted. Everything acted like normal, showed the right firmware, but the web browser acted like it was still 9.5 instead of 9.2 even after going back and installing 0004003000009402.cia again, which from what I gather is the older browser file.

How did you "downgrade" ?

I looked up the firm0/firm1 stuff and see what you mean. Of course since I don't have a 9.2 nand I can't extract those. Since my 9.2 boots I'm not sure if that will fix the issue, but I am going to try it with my 9.0 copy and just see if I can get back on 9.0 with a working browser.

Removed all the files updated in 9.5 and reinstalled the 9.2 files

Why didn't you just reflash your 9.2 image using emuNANDTool ? Chances are it didn't completely downgrade something

So I loaded my 9.0 and extracted the firm0/firm1 and put my emunand back to 9.0 and injected those and flashed it back to the sysnand and now everything works as it should. Nintendo finally relinked my NNID to my old console so I can finally try a transfer again.

So flashing a 9.2 emunand into a 4.5 sysnand (4.5 is the highest my sysnand ever been) is a no no after all?
or the problem is with downgrading?
