When I launch Zelda OoT and go to the load screen, slot 2 is selected by default.
So each time I want to launch the exploit, i have to select slot1 manually.

I tried to copy slot1 to slot2 within the game but it crashed and next time I booted it all saves were deleted.

Is there any way to copy or move the GW save from slot1 to slot2?
Or to have the game default to slot1 on the load screen?

The thing is, it selects the empty slot by default, so if you have slot 1 and slot 2 exploits, the game will select slot 3, because it's empty, so in order to do what you want, you need the exploit to occupy all slots ( all 3 of them).

Are you sure about that?
I mean, I have dumped my own Zelda game so I could play it (.3ds game) and started a new save. Everytime I open it my save (in slot 1) is selected by default.

Thx!

GW is such a pain in the ass to launch. I am so sick of pressing buttons on the 3ds, I just can't stand it anymore. I sure hope the NX is hands free. :)

TheShadowRunner please don't take offense, I just found it rather funny.

It only happens if you have the exploit, either gateway set it up that way or the game somehow know that it's a "bad" save.

That's what I thought...
Besides, have you guys tried to "create a new save" for an empty slot?
It chrashes the game real bad and corrupts the GW save.
I guess GW saves passes the "slot save boundaries", that's why it selects slot2, IMO

I think you missed my sarcasm. The op is complaining about pressing the Dpad up one somewhat unnecessary time to launch the exploit and then will proceed to press buttons about 10k times while playing a game. Doesn't even qualify as a firstworldproblem. :)

Well, tbh, humans will never learn to "settle" for something. If we continued to just settle where we are, humans wouldn't achieve the technological breakthroughs we are achieving today.

I think I went 2deep4theThread :/

of course I was expecting some dumb ass comment, kudos thorasgar, you're the guy.
A clean game does remember the last slot used and auto selects it when invoking the load screen.

Indeed mvmiranda, seems like the GW save is out of specs hence the slot2 selection..

I'm still interested to see if the GW save in each slot is doable, full lazy launching ftw

It's doable, at least on the digital version, but it's doable using the game's "copy" option, which you said deleted the save for you.

I aim to please. :)

You should test it out you can screw anything up permanently. Worst case erase the saves and reload it.

The thing about the clean game, is that it requires you to save to remember which slot was last used. If you shut down without saving. It won't remember.

So I thought that it was just laziness from gateway to fix it.
