So i read closer on Roxas' website and saw the ver 2.3 support file dumping/injection which could be used to change the emunand region? How would one do this? :)

Do you have a Gateway ? What is your sysnand firmware ?

No I dont, 9.2.0-9U (with 9.2.0-20U browser) but i can downgrade to 4.2.0-9U view nand backup if nessaccary. I had a typo in a previous post. I want to change EmuNAND from USA to EUR. I already have the SecureInfo_A thing.

theres a guide on the iso site

"Steps:
1) Download Launcher.dat from 3DS Multi Decryptor, launch from DS Profile and generate 'NAND FAT16 padgen'
2) Install all CIAs from '3ds_450-10E_cia' folder
3) Extract your emuNAND from SD card, using '3DS NAND SecureInfo Tool' inject 'SecureInfo_A_(public_donor_eur)', insert emuNAND back to SD
4) Load emuNAND and perform 'Format System Memory' in System Settings

From this point you'll have proper EUR emuNAND."

you will have to find the guide your self fr the download links etc

Thank you. But what method would i use to install the CIA's? Would I go back to 4.2.0 and install them with PBT cfw? Would i install them using FBI?
I already have the download from that post on "that  " website.

You have to downgrade then use Palantine CFW (and not the PBT one)

And to extract the cfw rednand, use this : http://www.jheberg.net/captcha/3ds-dualnand-v05-3/
(Run 'Extract Emunand 1.bat' as admin)

I read that region-swapped emunand 9.6 can only enter eshop using some complicated method using 3 different sd cards, and it doesn't work all the time

This is true except it should work every time if you do it correctly. And it's not really that complicated.

here's the info;

https://gbatemp.net/threads/poc-3ds-region-changing-proof.378110/page-17#post-5402737

basically you boot eShop on a 9.6 emuNAND with your console's original region and an NNID set up.

Then you boot eShop on another 9.6 emuNAND of your console's original region, but with no NNID set up (if you're smart you will create this emuNAND first, then make a backup of it and restore after booting the first emuNAND/eShop). This step is the MOST IMPORTANT and the only one you can really mess up. Basically when you try to boot eShop you will get an error, but you need to TURN THE POWER OFF IMMEDIATELY after you get the error and not press the a button or anything.

Finally you boot the region changed emuNAND, which needs to also have an NNID set up (you can do this in system settings). It will work.

Since following those steps eShop works flawlessly on my region changed 9.6 emuNAND. And it only takes 1 SD card if you just flash different SD card/emuNAND images.

edit: I forgot to mention that, at least when I did this, my first two emuNANDs were still linked to sysNAND, and the third (region changed) emuNAND was unlinked. I don't know if it matters if the first two are linked or not, but I know that before I unlinked my region changed emuNAND it was working with the eShop just fine...only it was connecting to my original region's eShop meaning that updates I downloaded didn't actually work.

okay, thanks for making the convoluted method a little easier to understand.

just to confirm: as long as you don't switch the sd card again, you don't need to do the swapping to enter eshop every time? Also, it is unclear if this would still work in future firmware updates (it's obvious but good to remind people what they are getting into)

Yup, just double checked right now and my eShop is still working on my region changed emuNAND, even after several power cycles/playing games/etc. I also switch to a different SD to use my 4.5 cfw (I know you can set up both on 1 SD, but I prefer keeping them on different SDs) and that has no effect on my eShop access.

I haven't tested what happens if you try to connect to your original region's eShop again. I have a feeling that an issue might arise if you were trying to regularly use different region eShops, but personally I only even set up my 9.6 EUR emuNAND so I could play certain legit .cias that were EUR exclusive, and I don't have any use for my US 9.6 emuNAND (only set it up to fix the EUR one).
