I love that they seem to be adding characters. This version of smash was already the biggest, and adding more characters is awesome

There's no signs of new characters in the Wii U update. Mainly just balance patches and Mewtwo files.

Nobody does, not even me (I will in a few weeks hopefully, I'll go file-hunting then). The only people who would be able to do it need a software exploit (ODE can only rip discs, not game updates) being either a kernel/IOSU exploit with an emuNAND or a new Webkit exploit to work on the latest version.

But game files can be obtained through RAM, wasn't the way Mario Kart 8 mod works? By modding code on the fly?

./param:
packed

mean that all the files were changed?

param/ui/ui_character_db is where the Virus character reference was found
param/ui/ui_mark_db is where the rhythm series reference was found

So I'm particularly interested in those. Can you post the contents of those?

Yes, but even then you still need to download the update on your system, requiring either an emuNAND or a new Webkit exploit, along with a kernel exploit to break out of the browser.
