Hacking r4 not reading any of my roms

Hi everyone I'm new here and I'm in dire need of help
well my friend gave me this R4 since he sold his dsi long ago. Well i have installed Wood I believe what its called and successfully downloaded some roms. But my R4 is not loading anything and everytime I open a rom it just enters a white screen on both screens. Here are pics of the R4 & the Micro SD I'm using it this helps: http://imgur.com/a/yH1xy
Im also using a Dsi XL if thats of any help
The games i've downloaded were
Pokemon black 2
Pokemon Soulsilver
Pokemon Conquest
and
Jump Ultimate stars
And all have the same error all end up in white screen with no progress.

Please any help is welcomed

It seems that cart doesn't support Wood. Try downloading the firmware from R4infinity.com

Ok I went to the website and I re down loaded it but it still seems not to work im downloading of the R4infinity Dual Core tab is it the right one? Or should I try the R4infinity old tab?

Nope it still seems to do the same

Did you apply the latest patch for your cart? The patch should be an .nds file downloadable from their site

i pressed the nds file that came with the firmware but nothing happens

The problem may be your microSD Card. Try switching it out and see what happens. You can also try the method below:
1) Download SD Formatter v4 here
2) Install it
3) Back up anything important on your SD Card
4) Plug in your SD card to your computer
5) Run SD Formatter v4
6) Select your SD Card
7) Set the following options
FORMAT TYPE: FULL (OverWrite)
FORMAT SIZE ADJUSTMENT: ON

After that try placing in the kernel or software for your cart in the newly formatted microSD. Formatting may take long depending on the size and class of the microSD. And make sure the filesystem format of the microSD is FAT32

ok after doing this my SD is not recognized anymore...

Try placing the files into the sd card and placing the roms in a seperate folder for each. If that doesn't work, maybe the contacts of the sd card adapter in the r4 cart are broken. You can try opening the cart and align everything where it should be.

Ok after fighting to setup the cart I decided it was not worth my time so I decided to buy a R4i Gold RTS 3ds so I wouldn't have any troubles but now the trouble begins again... Well after installing the firmware 1.64 and adding one of the same roms on my Dsi i noticed the traditional Japanese game Icon but as soon as I load up the game the screens just turn black and does not progress did I do something wrong?

If you can open your cart, look near the bottom right corner and tell me the letter. If you don't want to open it, just install this: http://filetrip.net/dl?9l07ieOpEm
That update supports up to DSi 1.4.5. Alternatively you can just press start and select help and it will show what version it supports for both 3DS and DSi. If you could list the names of the games you're playing, I might be able to help you more

Well the cart won't even load the main menu I know I installed the right firmware since I got it from r4ids.cn

Nothing just two black screens

Try cleaning the contacts of the cart. Also, make sure that DSMENU.DAT or something simillarly named is at the root directory of your sd card.

could it be the games need to be patched themselves, I had all those games on my r4 exept for black 2 and I remember those games needed a patch if they weren't already patched. if you are playing jump all stars there is also an English translation for the menus , maybe it also comes with a patch that makes it support flashcarts

I know but as I stated I got rid of the first R4 since it just wasn't working so I got an r4i gold Rts 3ds but i can't get it to load it just stays black everytime I try to boot it up because it does show in my dsi menu but it just turn black as soon as I press it

apparently im also having the same problem. my r4i that worked before shows its game icon, but when its opened it shows a black screen then flashes white then black again without loading the r4 menu. even if I remove the sd card the usual sd/tf card error sign dosnt show.
