Hacking Pokemon OR crashes on Sky3DS during "after-credit battle"

Ok, so I'm using:

No GW or NinjaHax
Blue Button Sky3DS
template = latest + a few private headers but not on Pokemon OR
Pokemon OR .3ds file (trimmed, Not private)
No update patch installed (No eShop access since I'm still sitting on 9.5.0-22u)

Beat the first run-through of league, game saves before checking used pokemon, credits roll, then my nemesis challenges me that "one last time to get to know me", Raichu (3rd pokemon) gets sent in and...

CRASH.

Press power button to restart.

Start back up, takes me right back to league pokemon check (last save point)

Infinite loop.

Did it three times, same result. Tried with wifi off and on.
Cycled past and everything.

Bad ROM? Don't trim? Need patch update? What's going on here?

I do have Pkmn AS (original cart with update installed from a while ago) and it works fine... Not sure what's going on here.

Gonna be a shame to have to play through just to see if bad ROM, so might as well see if I can cover bases...

As for Powersaves and Private Header of Smash Bros., no ban hammer yet... so, it works. And yes, I saw the "how to check your header" addition to the tutorial. Not bad. One problem... Why? Once you get private ID out of powersaves and cut N paste it into Sky3DS template, you're pretty much done. No need to use NO BAN NO SKY. You don't even need to patch the ROM. Just the template.

My other big issue is Powersaves. Nothing from Sky3DS works except Pokemon ORAS. I can modify max amounts and such, but backing up savedata and restoring to Sky3DS results in a corrupted prompt.

Even games I have private headers for won't work in Powersaves. Just keeps blinking and giving the "not supported game" prompt. EEPROM-yes/no, doesn't matter. But Pokemon ORASXY always works.

Either I missed something, or I've got a terrible glitch going on here.

I can get my games (MH4U) to at least be recognized by powersaves, as in it allows backing up the save. But I haven't been able to get it to load the codes for them. Are you using headers that match exactly the game they're from (i.e. SSB header for SSB rom)?

I am using a lot of EEPROM-YES games like NES Ultimate etc. Non of them work with Powersaves.

But no matter how many time I reformat and install Pokemon ORASXY they always work.

At first I thought it had something to do with NAND type games. So I tried a convert, no luck.

I had just installed AS and Powersaves before getting my Sky3DS, and this has been my case since day one of using the three in conjunction.

At first I had a few successes with Zelda-ALBW, but eventually all the downloaded games just got "not supported". I even tried using it on private headers. Still no luck. Thought it was Chip ID... no luck.

I'm really stumped.

Trimmed or not trimmed, same result.

Except now my OR is stuck in infinite loop.... :-S

What the EEPROM ID and CHIPID are you using? MH4U used to load in Powersaves once but after that just blinking like crazy Only Pokemon XY/ORAS work with Powersaves so far.

So it's not just me? Powersaves is blocking the Sky3DS??? But they can't block Pokemon ORASXY for some odd reason?

Hrm, now if I could only use Diskwriter to backup my Pokemon OR savedata, reformat/re-install/restore, and see if a non-trimmed version has the same problem.

Has anyone else had Pokemon OR on Sky3DS crash at "after-credits battle"? It's either Raichu has the hiccups, or ORAS is doing something dirty causing the game to crash...

Riiiight... so it's a bug that requires patch from eShop. And that's my problem. No eShop. Nor will I update firmware. So... how to get patch onto ROM onto Sky3DS without eShop?

Wait 6-24 months for another revision of the cart with the update bundled.

So someone else with Gateway can't get the patch, make a .3ds ROM for Sky3DS? We have to wait for an actual cart release...? Or I need to bite the bullet and use eShop.

Hrm, since I already have one version of Pokemon patched and working with Pokeinjection, then screw it. No update for me. Might as well just live without OR and PokeGen away.
