ROM Hack Spider: Not working on 4.3.0-9U... is it supposed to?

I downgraded my console to 4.3.0-9U using gateway.dg and MK7.

I then tried using Spider the same way I would've used it on 9.2.0-20U, but it's not working! God dammit.

Is Spider supposed to work on 4.3, or just 9.x? If not, is there any other RAM manipulation tools for 4.3?

The question is whether what you are trying to use supports it or not.
GW launcher works with the browser exploit on 4.x, I don't know what else does. The Pokemon browser hacks don't, I think.

Looks like they don't work on 4.x, but do work on emuNAND 9.x. If you don't have a Gateway you can try using rxTools' rxMode but you'll need a game cart with 9.x on it which are not easy to come by, as the spider exploit is patched in the latest update.

I'm having the same issue here, downgraded my 3ds from 9.2 to 4.5 and now none of the spider exploits doesn't work at all. Trying to use the Animal crossing ram editor, but it isn't working like it did on 9.2.
(BTW I have gateway)
Also I tried restoring my nand and got an error.....

If you have a 9.2 NAND backup, I would just restore it.

You want to get back to 9.2? Load the gateway menu and then go to the downgrade button but hold"Up" on ur dpad when pressing it and itll ask if u wanna restore ur nand from sd card. click yes. and youll be back on 9.2.

I get an error on the NAND.BIN

I still don't get how people can be "stuck" on 4.x.
If all you want is changing your VR, use SDF. Edit the file with the highest number (if it's 0 and 9, use 0). The location of the VR is 0x4E3C (2-bytes long), and the last 4 bytes of the file are a CRC-32 checksum which can be regenerated with this python script.
Otherwise, this cheat could also be ported to Spider on 4.x.
