I found those images for the backgrounds over the course of 20 minutes quickly on a couple sites, so they might not be permanent, and I might change them soon. Those certainly aren't all the Vita and PSOne games I have, either. I have way more (partially thanks to PS+), but I need to get a card bigger than 8gb if I ever hope to fit them all.

This thread made me look forward to customizing my vita if and when I ever did get one... but now that I have one I see the customization is not very good. If you download an image and set it as your background, the image has to load every time you swipe to a different screen. Even if you set the same image on every screen, it goes away for a second when you switch screens, then it comes back. wtf? In the meantime you see a white or black background from the default backgrounds. So there's no reason not to use the default backgrounds.

The only way to avoid this "transition" effect is to use the default backgrounds, or to download a theme from PS store, and use one of the images from that theme on each of your screens. But I do not like the themes because they make the icons look the same. I was close to liking the four seasons and 20th anniversary themes, though.

To make matters worse, all the background images I uploaded to tinypic are corrupted files when downloaded to vita. So I downloaded pics from other sites, but some of them were corrupted anyway.

At the moment I just use default theme with dark blue background on each screen.

I don't think there are any special instructions. Just find an image that's the right resolution to cover the number of desired screens, then crop them as separate images.

The resolution of the screen is 544 x 960 so you would want to make an image 960 x whatever height, and just chop it up into 544-sized pieces.

Good luck getting the images on your Vita though, everything I downloaded from tinypic shows up as a corrupt file. I ended up cropping and uploading my own wallpapers for nothing.

Man the Vita OS is so boring looking. I tried the official Sony themes again. I wanted to like the 20th anniversary theme but it's just a white background pretty much. I ended up just changing the background to gray. (bottom right most color in default themes) Instead of dark blue which is what I had before. Chances are I will end up changing it again. Maybe I should give images another chance.

I tried the Uncharted theme, but some of my icons were still in the 20th anniversary theme. Must be a glitch I guess. Hmm, if I change to Uncharted directly from the default theme, then maybe the glitch won't happen.

Have u tried maybe adding the Pics to ur PS3 and try the Content Manager to copy the Wallpapers to the Vita ?
