Hardware Made an imitation Kisekae plate for my N3DSXL

Hey everyone. Dunno if it's okay to post this here, but it's worth a shot I guess.

Since NOA isn't bringing the smaller, cooler N3DS to the states, I ended up getting an XL. I was pretty ticked, since I was really looking forward to interchangeable plates. But I made do with a decal from DecalGirl.

Here is a gallery to the skin. I made it look like that awesome 'Boo' glow-in-the-dark plate! Took some time in photoshop to get it looking good, but it was a labor of love!

Sure! Here are both plate-templates! I think that there are some other decal-making sites that might be a bit cheaper, but I'm not entirely sure. Something I did see online somewhere was someone printing a design and gluing it inside of a nice hori TPU case to make kind of a pseudo-cover-plate type thing. Good luck!

Hey, do you have any printable shapes for it? What I mean is...the exact size and shape that I need to cut the decal.

I know sticker like paper exists, but it's like paper so it won't work very well. From my experience these custom sticker design sites are actually really good, got stickers for my PSP and Galaxy Note (awful phone btw) and fit was near perfect.
DecalGirl seems to be US only, for most part of northern EU DesignSkins is good, however it seems like N3DS XL doesn't have back sticker available, only top and inner side :\

I got the matte finish! It feels a whole lot better than the gloss, looks nicer too!

Thanks! I really didn't like how the actual plates had those gaps above and below the design (since it's removable and junk). Having the design all over the 3DS is really awesome, hah!

Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner, I don't check this site too frequently. But be careful with adhesive stickers. The decals, even though a bit pricey, don't leave any residue if you ever take it off. Adhesive might though, so be cautious! Printing also might be a bit of a hassle on glossy stickers, but it is definitely worth a shot if you want the skin! Another thing you could do is get a Hori TPU case and glue/stick the design to the inside of the case. This would not only let you have the design, but it would also save your system from unwanted gunk in the future. Let us know how it goes either way!

Yeah that is probably the only thing that sucks about having a decal as opposed to the plates! I really wish DecalGirl had some sort of glow in the dark thing, but it's alright. Looks nice regardless

Can you scan your front plate? I am considering getting a skin made and ordering an official MM replacement back plate
