A nice recent Sony example
Except asymmetrical controllers are objectively better and should be the standard. (◕‿◕)MS because they make the Xbox controller assymetrical. (to make matters worse, Amazon Fire TV is now assymetrical too, all because it rip offs the Xbox controller)
Except that this is logically impossible. For an assymetrical controller to be "objectively" better in any way, the other half of the controller is objectively worse by the same standard.Except asymmetrical controllers are objectively better and should be the standard. (◕‿◕)
There are logical reasons why the function buttons and the primary control stick should be directly under your thumbs when grabbing a controller in a relaxed position, this suggests an asymmetrical layout, it's as simple as that. Input of secondary importance can be placed higher or lower, but the primary input which is used practically all the time should be in the most desirable spot.Except that this is logically impossible. So basically, asymmetrical controllers are for people who are irrational, but who love to rationalize.

Wat. I just explained, in detail, how that's not the case. You want the control stick and the buttons, not two sticks - that's advantageous exclusively in twin stick shooters and hardly optimal. Unless you're playing a twin stick shooter you only occasionally adjust the camera, meanwhile you need function buttons (A/B/X/Y, shapes, whatever you choose to label them) and the control stick 90% of the time.Meaning, both sticks on top.
Nobody would ever do that.If Xbox fans actually believed the stuff they were spouting, they would sell their Xboxes and get a WiiU.
But we all know the real reason people who prefer assymetrical think it is objectively better is because they are used to it. In other words they are using aesthetically garbage clown controllers (Xbox controllers) for no reason.
I dunno man, I like the feeling of the wii u controller over the x360 and xbone controllers. It's like the only decent controller nintendo have ever made.Wat. Except for the GC controller, one of the best controllers of all time. Seriously though, both sticks on priority is clearly shooter-centric, a very odd choice for the Wii U.I dunno man, I like the feeling of the wii u controller over the x360 and xbone controllers. I don't even own a shooter for the Wii U / didn't even know they existed for it. The only reason I like the controller is because over the current gen, it's the only one I can use for hours on end and not get sore hands. I couldn't care less how a controller is designed, you don't even notice when you're playing a game (unless the controller is awkward as fuck the like N64 controller).Except for the GC controller, one of the best controllers of all time. That would surely make the poll redundant.where's the nintendo option
