Hacking Retail Smash 3ds black screen on 9.4 emuNAND

So I've already downgraded my 3ds to 4.2 and installed cfw on it. Everything is fine except I wanted to play my retail games, so I updated muy emuNAND to 9.4 with the MT card launcher on another sd card. However, everytime I try to boot up my retail copy of smash 3ds in classic mode, I get a black screen. I even tried installing the game's update from eshop, but I still get a black screen. Anyone have an idea how to get it to work?

Is this necessary? Does smash not work with sd cards smaller than 4gb?

yup. other ppl experienced same problem as yours. fixed by using bigger SD card.
