Hacking Any way to downgrade 9.4 consoles?

Sorry for creating a new thread in an interval of 24 hours, but is it possible to downgrade 9.4 consoles?
AFAIK it's not possible, but I'm just asking.

Perhaps we should look into the downgrading process that Gateway made for their launcher, and perhaps try to recreate it/remake it for consoles with newer firmwares.

It's possible. You just need to have a USB hardmod on your 3DS and a NAND backup of your 3DS that was on a lower firmware. After that, you can restore your 3DS back to that old firmware.

Otherwise, you're stuck where you are.

Not sure if you're asking out of curiosity, but in case you upgraded your 3ds and doesn't have a nand backup all that you can do is to get over it and buy a 2nd 3ds, like I did.

So, that being said, no downgrades for 9.4 yet. The process GW used can't be ported to 9.4 as a handful of key exploits were patched. If we had 9.4 fully exploited then yes, we'd be able to downgrade any firmware.

Also the .dg files are just a bunch of titles and a ticket.db, you can't make much use of them without some sort of software exploit to install those. There's no magical keys involved.

You can use NCCH Decryptor to create xorpads for your Fat16 Partition.

you send someone the ncchinfo.bin (created from YOUR Nand) which you has created with ctrKeyGen.py.
Someone creates the xorpads for you.

I'm pretty sure that's also not possible, NAND is encrypted with per-console keys (0x04 is per-console, I think.)
