Maybe clean your cartridge. This happens all the time with old carts, and if you bump them or move them at all it will crash and make those noises. It's especially common on the SP. Get a Q-tip and clean the contacts of the slot and the cartridge, and be careful not to touch the cart as you play.

ok, so it is both, but i cleaned and pushed alot harder so now it is actually hard to get it to do it, i had to fully slap the card for it to do it

Make sure the card is FULLY inserted into the slot, and try not to knock it as you play, you can try and find some other way of cleaning the cart too.

Welcome to the wonderful world of flashcarts.

I play all my GBA games in TempGBA on a DStwo in a DSi XL. Been working very well for over a year. I got tired of polishing contacts and worrying about carts slipping in the middle of a game on my GBA SP.

For a while I used R4 "Revolution for DS" in DS Lite: very cheap 2GB max. SD, very nice Wood UI. Always worked very well in DS Lite, plays nice with 3-in-1 in slot-2.

On GBA (SP) I've had a lot of problems with flakiness with EZ Flash IV, both the hardware and the software. (ROM patching just sucks and I was never sure I had the newest/best version of the utility.) Anyway, I got EZ-IV from the now defunct RealHotStuff and it works pretty well, but my first one never read ANY SD card reliably and I'm probably going to sell/trade it to someone with better eyes and a steady soldering hand.

You could also try a Radica Gamester Game Changer if you still use real carts in GBA SP: it lets you put 3 carts in at a time. It attaches VERY securely to the GBA SP. (The SP goes in the Gamester and the SP is secure on both sides, with its own weight even helping to secure the connection to the gamester (see picture linked), unless you play hanging upside down like a bat!) If you only use 2 of the 3 slots, it is also more comfortable to hold the GBA SP. The only problem is that EZ-Flash IV will not work in it and the third cart sticks out awkwardly.

I think it was something wrong with my Pokemon glazed or the rom in General, I have re downloaded so many times etc, then I put Pokemon resolute on the nor and I can punch the card and it won't freeze, the Pokemon glazed didn't start doing this until I got to the first gym, I just ordered a wood r4, is there anyway to play gba James on here?

These are the two options I've tried and had good results with. Neither is cheap, but #2 is a lot cleaner and simpler than #1.

1. To play on GBA roms on DS LITE: you need an EZ-Flash 3-in-1 for slot-2 AND a slot-1 Flashcart like R4 to store the GBA roms. You might want to read up on the 3-in-1.

2. To play GBA games on DSi or DSi XL (no slot 2): Supercard DSTwo.

looks like im going to have to play 1 pokemon hack at a time and can't play glazed, im not paying more money for stuff. I already paid 45$ with shipping on ezflash and 30$ with shipping and sd on the r4
