so you look for a Wii Classic Controller Adapter for Wii U and Wii? Uhm, if you connect the CC to the Wiimote you can use the CC on Wii and Wii U, right?
Or are you looking for a way to connect Wiimote and Wii U Controller to PC? You can connect them easy to a PC via Bluetooth, also the Controllers that are connected to the Wiimote.

edit: Or are you looking for a CC Adapter to PC from a different Brand, not Mayflash? ^^"

Well, just a USB adapter that connects a Wii Classic Controller to the console via USB, much like it is for PC. I guess such thing does not exist. :-/

Maybe the Mayflash one works on some Wii U or Wii Homebrew Apps? I know that Nintendont for example allows many different types of controllers and converters for playing GC games, even PS3 Controller.
You want to play CC on Wii wired? Is it such a problem to use it through the Wiimote "wireless" on the Wii? ^^

edit: The list says, that you can use it! http://gbatemp.net/threads/nintendont.349258/
Dunno if it works for other regular Wii games and emulators or just Nintendont. I have The Mayflash one, and i will receive my Wii U next week. Then I can test it on Wii and also Wii U and tell you, if no one else did.

You answered your own question.

I recall there being a Wii development unit that had a Classic Controller port directly on the console itself. So it's likely that Nintendo toyed with the idea of having the ports on the console, but ended up putting them in the Wiimotes. A mistake, IMO.

So when Nintendo was finally doing something right they went ahead and screwed it up. Typical Nintendo. :-|

Here's a picture of CAT-DEV v3, a Wii U development kit. Sure enough it has a port for the Classic Controller directly on the unit itself. I wish retail units had something like this...

Wow, this is a really dick move of Nintendo to not include such an essential feature on the retail Wii U models too but from a business perspective it makes sense, they still want to sell Wiimotes so they had to sacrifice it.

I guess if a fan and a Nintendo representative had a conversation about it it'd go like this:

Fan: Can I use my Wii Classic Controller on the Wii U?
Nintendo: You sure can!
Fan: How so?
Nintendo: Well, you'll need to also purchase an official Nintendo Wiimote and batteries!
Fan: Couldn't you like, make a USB adapter or a new Wii U model with the port integrated on the console?
Nintendo: No. We can't do that.

:P

I totally get this and they're even releasing the Bowser and Toad Wiimotes soon, but it honestly begs the question what for? Early Wii U games had mixed support and current Wii U games have barely any support for Wiimotes. Even in games with Wiimote support it feels tacked on, e.g. in Hyrule Warriors.

There are a few exceptions like the Just Dance series, but those games are copypasta of the original Wii game since 2009 with different songs only, so it's no surprise. Then there's games like Pikmin 3 and Wii Sports Club, both which borrow heavily from their counterparts in the Wii era. Wiimotes are cheap additional controllers to use for multiplayer, e.g. in Wii Party U and New Super Mario Bros., but they only function as simple controllers without taking into advantage most of the motion control.

Actual Wii U games that support the Wiimote in any useful way? I haven't seen any.
