I'm having the same issue.
It is the latest versions of Nintendont and USB Loader GX r1239 and it still does not see my GameCube games.
Cyan's version is the same as the one GX downloads when I tell it to update, right?
There are a bunch of Wii games, but none of the GC games will show.
In Nintendont when I run it directly from HBC they show up just fine.
I tried several different directory structures suggested and none of them seems to work.
The last one I tried was usb://games/xyzy01/game.iso just like that, all lower case.
This one was said to work and still nothing.
Any ideas?

Nintendon't does not support having more than one usb device connected at a time. If you have both a Wiiu drive and a Vwii drive it will not boot GC games.

The only workaround is to put GC games on your SD card.

If games are not showing in usbloadergx one of the buttons on top will let you choose what shows such as wii games, GC games, NAND Channels, etc. Make sure there is a check mark for GameCube games.

There is only one drive connected and the GC box is checked. Still nothing
I tried deleting one of the config files. I'm not sure which ones to remove.
There are so many.

Go into "settings" then "custom paths" make sure the game path for gamecube games is correct. If it is change it to something else then change it back. I had this problem once.

Did you enable Gamecube games in the 4th icon's top menu?

Did you set the path to USB:/games/ correctly in settings>user paths>Gamecube Main path?
Main path (which is the path used to dump game) should be your USB path if you want to use USB.
SD path should remain on SD.

If you updated from an old version of the loader (1180), then the main path is set/memorized to SD as only SD worked with gamecube (and DML).
I changed it to USB by default only later when new loaders were released.

edit:
I should read all answers before replying :P
he already helped you and asked the same question.

check that your games are correctly stored and named:
/games/<whatever you want>/game.iso (not the title, but the word "game")

only edit "whatever you want".
I suggest using "Game title [GameID] for easy reading.

/games/Zelda windwaker [GZLP01]/game.iso

but you can use only the gameID for compatibility purpose.
/games/GZLP01/game.iso

On the official Nintendon't thread it has multiple HDD's as not supported. I could also never get it to work, always get a stack dump error.

What is your setup? Drives, usbloadergx and nintendon't versions, wii or vwii, cios used/installed? I would love to be able to put my GC games back on my HDD. I can have the app on the HDD but not the games.

ahh, I missed that you had multiple HDD connected.

Multiple HDD is a headache if you don't understand how everything is working.
I recommend using only one HDD.

cIOS are mounting usb ports in incremental order (port0, then port1)
IOS58 is mounting usb ports in decremental order (port1, then port0)

If you have your gamecube games on Port1, nintendont works fine as it uses IOS58.
If you want to see gamecube games on Port1, either:
use IOS58 on USBLoaderGX too (but it will modify your partition order, be careful with the user path settings, wii games, etc.),
or
use a cIOS capable of loading both ports (d2x v10-alt), then enable port both and multi partition option in USBLoaderGX>settings>HDD menu.

NOTE :
If you are on vWii, it will NOT WORK as cIOS d2x has issues with port1 on vWii.

Okay, you figured out what it was.
Thanks for your help, Cyan.
The main path was set to sd:/games, so I changed it to USB:/games and it found them immediately.
I had looked for such an option, but was unable to find it. It was a little bit weird?

It seems to be having trouble downloading some of the cover artwork, though.
All of the Wii games covers downloaded just fine.
The "start game" graphics are there when I hit A, just not the covers, at least for the 2 games I have installed right now.
They are Kirby Air Ride and SMS, if that helps.
It seems to have trouble with some of the themes as well.
I can download the Neon theme, but not the Nintendo based themes.
It's not a big deal, though now that the games will launch. :yaywii:

If you are having trouble with GC covers put the game id in the folder name.

USB:/games/Kirby[GameID]/game.iso

I had this problem with Luigi's Mansion when the folder did not have the game id. You can just use google to get the id.

Themes download is not working anymore. the website where the themes are stored is now asking registration to download them. No direct download is possible anymore.
I didn't know you could still download some of them.

For covers, maybe some games don't have them.
The covers are downloaded from http://gametdb.com
some games are missing covers, or disc, or have different regions but not all, etc.

You can add your own cover to
/usbloader_gx/images/covers/GameID6.png --- the 3D cover (has priority over 2D flat covers stored in /2D/ folder)
/usbloader_gx/images/disc/GameID6.png ---- The disc cover
/usbloader_gx/images/full/GameID6.png ---- the full cover (front/back/sides) for the 3D model in the game info window.

The newest NIntendont won't load from the newest USB Loader GX (R1259). Says this version of Nintendont doesn't support loading from USB when it actually does. Is there any version of USB Loader GX I can download that's compatible?
