Another Thing. I'm watching your code and I see you can explore and modify files from NAND. The question is: Can you erase the nag message update with Ninjhax? (delete the downloaded update in NAND)

Probably not possible to delete update messages, but something that IS possible with NAND editing is unbanning from online services, like SSB4 when they ban you for no reason.

I want to download this, but... I worked hard on those puzzles. I can't cheat!

That being said, very cool! Well done!

I'm with you on this. I have a 4.5 3DS with Gateway and I don't use PlayCoinSetter because all I would be doing is ruining the Mii games for myself.

Yes. Actually, you can try it out yourself... right now, if you look at the source for playcoin.c, it edits filebuffer[0x4] and filebuffer[0x5], which 3dbrew documents as being the offsets for the play coin count in gamecoin.dat. By modifying it so that offsets 0xC - 0xF are edited instead, the step count can be changed.

Alternatively, use the precompiled version to extract gamecoin.dat, and use a hex editor to manually change the stepcount.

Probably not updates, but otherwise yes.

This isn't actually based on the SDK play coin setter. I just borrowed the name.

The home menu automatically resets it to 300 if it's any higher, yes.

Yeah... I was kinda lazy with this since I can't really see any use case not covered by 300/10/0.

I would like to spoof my steps to 4001 for Pokemon as well but I have no idea to do what you said.

Hm. After actually trying what I said to do, it seems the system rejects all attempts at modifying the step counter. It might or might not actually be possible.
