Hello guys
I can't see 3D things in the 3DS and think if i buy a 3DS will be weird... Its like you buy a 3D tv and you can't see the 3D.
I know you can disable the 3D
But the 2ds its cheaper than the 3ds...
If you know something about the new 2ds post here :)

I see no reason for Nintendo to do that. I could maybe see them addressing the situation by giving an option to permanently disable the 3D via a child lock or something (maybe it already has this, never checked). But I can not see any future where they sell a New 3DS without the 3D function for less than the standard N3DS.

It would be nice for the N3DS exclusive games though...

AFAIK it does have that, but that's not really the problem OP is having anyway.

I don't know, but alot of people will be pissed when Nintendo will bring out a New 2DS with a c-stick.
The 2DS is not that old (1 year and a few months)

But i do get his point in getting a New 2DS released cause it is still cheaper to make then the New 3DS
alot of people never play in 3d on there 3ds for there own reasons.

I know. My point was that Nintendo wouldn't release a slightly cheaper model to appease people like OP, the N3DS is already there as an option for anyone not a child that can handle a hinge and 3D slider. The 2DS was made with children in mind.

The thing is that part of the main reason behind the N3DS is the improved 3D. All that would be in the N2DS would be the better processor and buttons. I just don't see Nintendo caring about this because games that would require the CPP wouldn't really be made for children anyways and similarly games that need the processing power (Xenoblade). This could change if Nintendo starts releasing exclusive games geared towards children though, but as of now I just don't see why Nintendo would care about this.

and to be honest, i have the New 3DS (ambassador) and i'm not that impressed with the better 3D and head tracking for the 3D, I still get a headache when i look at it longer then 1 minute.
personally i think the New 3Ds would have been better named New 2DS and the should drop the 3D fully, it's a gimmick on it 90% of it's users never use or only use to show how it looks in 3D and turn it off asap for playing.

Some people unfortunately cannot use parallax 3D very well because of some physical reason. That is just a big bummer to be honest and you can do nothing about it, that is the worst part! That said, most people can and will enjoy the new 3D feature a LOT! Even my girlfriend enjoys the 3D on my n3DS and she isn't even interested in gaming. She just spent 30 minutes on the MH4 demo, that says a lot.

Next year maybe when manufacturing costs are reduced and a lot of people have already upgraded to the New 3DS (more profit version), Nintendo will then maybe release a New 2DS to get the remainder of users on the old 3DS or 2DS to upgrade to a budget version on the New 3DS without 3D aka the New 2DS; they are definitely not going to release it this year IMHO.

I can safely say I've never had 3D on for more than a few minutes at a time just to see how 3D was implemented in a specific game. It is a huuuuge gimmick and most people I know keep it permanently disabled as well.

That being said, the 2DS is a cheap plastic piece of garbage :rofl2: it may be lower in cost, but just yourself a favor and get a normal 3DS. Tons of people who CAN see 3D never even use it.

it may be a "piece of garbage", but at least it's cheaper. so, if you have the money for a 2ds but not 3ds/3ds xl, you buy the 2ds if you want 3ds games. also, no worries about hinges.

also it may be a great companion while you're waiting for the new 3ds. but aside from that i would buy it, well, if i just started saving up my money and would like to play 3ds games. not saying that i don't save it up, but it's just an example.
