Hi folks,

Just saw that GW_ULTRA_3.0(Public Beta) was out. I've been running all Gateway releases from the beggining but from the release notes I can see this will make 4.5+ users happy...

But is it bringing anything to us users running 2.7 already ?
Have I overlooked something ?

Thanks.

No, i don't think that there is anything new for the <4.5 users.
At the point, they even want to downgrade > 4.5 users to 4.5.

From Gateway website

This release also contains an update for the Red Gateway card with:
– improved support for microSD cards
– faster write speeds
– and a surprise feature that will be announced in the next update!

So maybe.

Your 3ds won't ever update without your say. Seeing people claim an "accidental update" makes me dizzy. It'll just nag you. Which I've learned to accept. For some? It's best to go WiFi off.

I know it's "just" an update nag, but that poses a serious risk of an impatient, A-mashing 8-year-old brother/cousin/nephew/whatever updating the console for you. Having Wi-Fi off is EXACTLY the point of my post... -.-

... And mine was saying is that it's never an accident.

Are you telling me that if i run a DS game on GW 3, I don't have to reinstall the exploit?

I think so. In 2.7 the exploit was involved in DS profiles, so when you play a DS game, the exploit erases. I think in 3.0 you don't have that problem, because the exploit is triggered via browser.

Unless you're running the 3.0 Launcher.dat through the old exploit, which you should, in order to keep Wi-Fi off in sysNAND.
