I think I may have bricked my Ezflash IV.. When I copy the firmware over to the drive, and power on with the R button pressed, I get a black screen. And when I power on without pressing the R button, I get an info box that says " info can't find Disk"

Anyone know what could be the cause of this error? I read in another post that the problem was that the SD card wasn't pushed in all the way. I tried that, it didn't help. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

Yes, only up to 2GB memories work, and not all the 2GB ones. Always buy the memory from the same EZ-Flash IV seller so you can be sure they are compatible.

Not true anymore with the latest firmware update which came out of the blue!
Though I haven't tried SDHC yet.
10 days late but
for making sdhc you need first to update it with a regular sd card
the sd hc will only work after updating the card, and you also lose normal sd support...

but yeah OP, make sure your sd card is below 2gb (if on the card it says SD HC will not work..)
edit:
just noticed i bumped a 10 days old thread ( which is acceptable) but thread is 2 months old, and op didnt care about more help

My card is one of those awful 4GB muve Music SD cards (1GB partition for you, and 3GB hidden and encrypted). So for the 1GB I AM able to use, I have all the GBA games I could ever want to play, including Goomba Color roms and a few Pokemon rom hacks. 2GB for me would be overkill, so I'm not going to update to the new 1.75 kernel yet, unless it adds more compatibility, but I actually heard it breaks a game or two...

I had the same issue, Just used a regular 512mb minisd card and inserted the ezflash IV in nds lite and turned on with right trigger pressed it updated like a charm.. You can try it by formatting your 2gb card and only ezbin update file and use nds lite console instead of gba

Resurrection of the dead forum... On the on topic note. I recently upgraded mine to 1.75 on my 2GB mini card. Works fine. Everything seems in order.

Glad to see :yay:

Now the only thing to solve is the "battery dry" error message.

Looks like chollomedia.es is selling EZ-Flash IV updated to support SDHC and with an additional brand new Philips battery to fix it

Though I don't see it sold separate from the bundle...
