I'm thinking 14, when I first played Leisure Suit Larry 1 (type edition).

Though if you want to count Bionic Commando before it was censored, then 12. I can't think of anything before that.

I was 5 when I played Doom and Heretic, at 6 I started playing Duke Nukem 3D and Quake.
Cool thread (I suggested BTW) anyway it was gta 3 when I was 7 or 8. Story was I went to my moms friends house and her highschool aged son had the game but went out with friends so why he was gone I played his ps2 with some other kid she was watching and played a bmx game and gta 3.

Wait, they have GTA III for the ps1? Are you mistaken with ps2, or gta ii?

I'm not 100% sure. I was definitely very young at the time, but I recall it being some Quake or Doom type game, possibly Quake 2. I remember my dad had brought home a new PC, some "top of the line" thing for work and he let me play some games on it and one of them I definitely went around shooting stuff in a Doom-style game.

My dad was a gamer as well as my older brother, so there wasn't really many "restrictions" on the ratings of games I could play as a kid, so I never really experienced that whole "wow I'm playing a rated M game this is so cool!" feeling some people get. I hardly ever look at game ratings nowadays, too, and it's been yeeears since I really even cared

Funny that's how I felt when I played GTA which I really didn't see was that bad although the game made no sense at all (atleast to me at that time)

Either Counter Strike or God of War: Chains of Olympus. I got my PSP when I was 8 and the 2 games on it were GoW and YuGiOh: Tag Force 2. God, how I loved that thing 'till it broke.

I was playing M rated games before there were ratings. Atari VCS/2600 - Mystique games. C=64 - Barbarian/Death Sword. Amiga - Moonstone. Arcade - Mortal Kombat.

And I walked six miles to school every day... In 48" of snow... Uphill... BOTH WAYS!!!

It was Mortal Kombat II for me. My dad loves that game and gave em his Genesis with that and a few other games with I 6. Wouldn't play another M rated game (had no particular reason to avoid them, just never was interested in another game that was) until SMT IV

Leisure suit Larry in the land of the lounge lizards. The first edition (on a green-and-black monitor, horrible soundcard and with typing), though I don't think it was anywhere near release date. I must've been somewhere between 10 and 12. And I actually learned English that way. :P
