Citra Emulator is running Ocarina of Time 3D in game as of January 4rd, 2015! While slow, it runs stably and is seemingly playable! Enjoy this huge step forward for 3DS emulation!

It has taken a huge team effort to get the project this far. Thanks everyone for your support! As always, you can find us below:

The video is sped up 10x the regular speed. Most likely, it was emulating at 3-6 fps, which is still a great accomplishment.

Considering a few weeks back booting anything commercial was thought to be still quite a ways a way, even at 1fps this would be amazing

Well, looks to be at about normal speed, or maybe just a little bit slower, after speeding it up. And the game runs at 20 fps, so math would say 2 fps. Still very impressive that it runs at all!

I took a guess at the fps. Still very much an accomplishment for sure. It's amazing the progress that Citra and the PS3 emulator are doing in such short time.

pefully it will be near perfect by 2017 or 18 it will run fawlessly. 3ds emulation shouldnt be that hard considering it is about the same in specs as the gc which runs great on dolphin.

Awesome, huge step forward for 3DS homebrew! Hope it will do the same for RPCS3!

Edit: And for commercial games, running it in higher internal resolution, like with Desmume!

The original OoT runs at like 20 yes, but IIRC the 3DS remake runs at 60.

I know it ain't 60 fps, it's way smoother than the original though.

I know but we also neec to remember that results in the game actually running at half the frame rate that it's running internally; to make a60 fpsgame on the 3DS, the developer would need to be able to make it run at 120 fps in 2D. However, this does not take up half the power of the console, which is just an urban myth.

Well, it looks like it's 30 fps, who knows how long till the emulator runs full speed.
