As the title is there a way to watch a DVD disc on Nintendo wii?

I've downloaded and installed WiiMC, but with no success.
Is there anything else i should do? Because i've read that this is THE media player for nintendo wii if you want to play DVD discs.

You need a Wii with an old disk drive.

In other words, you need a Wii manufactured before 2008. (If you could install BootMii/boot2, you can definitely play DVDs.)

Your BootMii installer probably told you if your Wii is compatible, but if you want to double-check just go online and see which drive chip is in your system by looking up the serial number.

I think i installed Bootmii as IOS, and i just install the latest version of WiiMC and i said that it wont work with this Nintendo wii -.-

So there is no other way for me to play DVD from the nintendo wii?

DVD from the drive? No. You can put the movie/video in your ext HDD or Pendrive and load it via WiiMC.

Naah, it takes to much time to download the movie and then put it inside HDD etc etc. I think i just stick with XBMC instead where i just stream everything in HD quality. :)

Oh well, thank you for the answers! :D

Yeah, it's easier when you have something else to play your movies and stuff, also XBMC is a great program.
No problem dude :)
