I was wondering if it would even be possible to make this happen (either by an official nintendo update or by some kind of cios) it would be awesome to have true gamecube controller support for nintendont, like multiplayer crystal chronicles with gba-link through the gc adapter. I'm not asking for this to be done (I don't want to be that guy) I was just wondering if anyone is currently working on a project like this that I might be able to donate too?

Doubt it will ever happen

Besides, Nintendont fully supports the adapter with the exception of GBA-link

Already possible, go download the latest version, I've already played through half of PMTTYD with it :P GBA support I don't know about but using the adapter is certainly possible.

Right, and I do already use it with nintendont (gba-link not possible with adapter) I was more wanting the ability to play wii games that support the gamecube controller with the adapter and was wondering if anyone was currently working on a project that would enable that.

That would be almost impossible to do. The Wii was basically a gamecube with modified hardware, the Wii U is a different beast. The best we will get is using the adapter in Nintendont, perhaps a couple of other homebrew like emulators if we're lucky.

You would have to hack in HID support into the CIOS for Wii games... and translate the HID input to what the GameCube ports would normally send. I don't think anyone is trying to do this currently and I imagine it would take a lot of effort to do so.

That would literally be the holy grail for Homebrewers on Wii, allowing for Hid controllers in every homebrew emulator and USB Loaders. There's a reason it's so difficult that it's improbable it could ever happen.
