Hey all!

I'm running the latest version of Nintendont and USBLoaderGX, and I have a couple of questions;

1) USBLoaderGX sees the games just fine, and I have "Nintendont" selected in the settings. But when I try to load a game, I get the message "This GameCube loader does not support USB" or something to that effect. When I load Nintendont directly through the Homebrew Channel, it loads and plays the games just fine.

2) Widescreen isn't widescreen. I'm using the "WiiU Widescreen" option in Nintendon't, and it's wider, but it's not a full 16:9. It's stretched beyond 4:3, but not completely 16:9. Is this typical behavior?. Since we're stretching content that's natively 4:3 (And not re-rendering it), it's not really a big deal. I was just curious.

3) The documentation says Nintendont doesn't support multiple hard drives. Can someone help me understand that better? So if I had a second (WiiU formatted) drive connected, I need to DISCONNECT that drive when playing GameCube games? Would it matter if they were both connected to the same powered hub? (I can connect them either way. One of the drives is a wall-powered drive so it can be connected directly to the WiiU). Sure is a pain to have to unplug drive #2 in order to play GC games. (Not the end of the world though). I mean you're talking to a guy so lazy he only owns 3 or 4 physical games across all consoles; because even for the higher price digital download is so much more convenient! Ha!

As an add; if I moved my GameCube games to the SD card (which I could do, I guess, if I had to.); would I still have problems with having two hard drives connected?

Thanks guys!

The latest nintendont breaks version detection, either use an older version of nintendont or try the ulgx mod in the ulgx thread.

If it were uprendered correctly then it would look the same, because it depends on how much scaling the developers used and many GC games don't use scaling. Anyway it is still 16:9 in frame otherwise half the library would not be 4:3 for using 448 as the height instead of all 480 lines. Devolution has an option to force scale any game by 32 pixels but it's not to fix the ratio it is just to remove the black bars from devices with lower overscan levels i.e. the Wii U gamepad.
The only official software that I can think of that use all the 720x480 area are the video on demand apps.

I don't think so. Would depend on other homebrew, but nintendont doesn't try to mount any hdd if the loader tells it to use the SD card slot.

Thanks for the responses guys!

Yes, I'm using the forwarder linked for USB Loader GX. No forwarder for Nintendont, just going straight to it from the HBC.

The overscan thing makes sense. To be clear I'm talking about my TV, not (necessarily) the gamepad. On my 70" 1920x1080 TV I get the 'black bars' on either side of the screen with Gamecube games, and with the Nintendont loader in general. (The loader itself doesn't take up the full screen.)

So, I can move the games to my SD card. Gotcha. But any word on clarification for the two hard drives issue? Like using a hub (so they are on the same port) or otherwise? Just curious.

I haven't heard of any fix for the two hard drives issue. My solution is to get a very large sd card(128GB or more) and putting all of my vwii apps and wii/GameCube games on that. That way there is only one hard drive connected to my wiiu for wiiu games and the sd card for everything else.

1. Did you setup the partition according to the instructions on the nintendont post?

2. I don't know why but if I run the homebrew channel or launch anything from it, everything is displayed in a 4:3ish ratio. I have the forwarder for USBloaderGX and using that everything works fine widescreen.
