I tried the following method to convert GW saves into Sky3DS saves, but failed.

1) Dump Sky3DS save with GW/MT launcher.
2) Dump Sky3DS ROM with GW/MT launcher.
3) Convert a normal GW save into Sky3DS's .ZAV
4) Import the .ZAV to Sky3DS with GW/MT launcher.

It failed at step 1 & 2.
GW launcher couldn't recognize Sky3DS's savedata chip so it couldn't dump the save.
MT launcher froze at 2.2.0-4 encrypted save dumping. For 6.0 encrypted save dumping, MT gave no error messages but the dumped saves were all corrupted.
On step 2, the launchers were able to dump the ROM but it was ultra slow and seemed to be frozen.

Use the Sky3DS diskwritter to dump your saves & roms.
But saves are not compatible between GW/MT and Sky....

GW uses 512k saves and Sky3DS uses 1M saves...

If it wasn't that, I had never needed to try dumping/restoring SKY3DS save with GW launcher.

i think sky saves in a different way (like normal gamecards with the right keys) and gateway doesn't (backed up saves aren't compatible with gateway neither).

GW/MT launcher dumps legit carts' save.
I choose this method because Sky3DS is emulating legit cart.
The ROM backup finally worked even it took a very long time.
But the save backup still failed.
I think the problem may be GW/MT launcher cannot recognize Sky3DS's savedata chip.

Well, if dumping succeeded, I would do the thing you mentioned after that - convert GW-created save and try to import it into SKY3DS.

I also tried directly importing FE:A save into SKY3DS with MT launcher - FE:A save has 2.2 encryption which can be directly imported into legit cart, without converting SAV -> ZAV.
But it froze at the beginning.
