I only get Sandisk ones. That's why. I pay for the best brand. You know what they say, you get what you pay for. I've bough PNY's and Kingston's only for them to fail on me after a while.

Are you buying the extreme plus edition? Samsung Evo 64GB was $25 for a while.

guys, a little question.

When I'm doing homepass in my 9.2, sometimes the blue led lights but i don't receive any spotpass notification. (I have spotpass turned off)

Is possible Nintendo is blocking the gateway exploit through Nintendo Zone without a formal update?

Yeah, but the problem there is that when the MicroSD is used in an SD adapter, the speed DROPS, as it has to re-route through another connection. The Golden Rule of computers is that the shorter the distance, the better it works.

Which is usually why I frown upon adapters, daisy chains, and long USB cords. I've actually solved problems removing those issues. I've had issues where the drive wouldn't read with a long USB cord, where drives were having slowdown on daisy chains, and where SD cards were fast by themselves, but slower in the adapter.

Been repairing and tech supporting for over ten years. You'd be amazed what you run into

Best I can tell you is get a SD card for EmuNAND if you're using it on a 3DS and a MicroSD card if using on a N3DS.

Also, don't worry about future proofing as prices ALWAYS go down on storage. That 64GB card you'd pay $60 for now, will be only $40 six months from now. As storage goes up, prices drop.

I remember paying $150 for a 2TB drive last year. This year, I only paid $89 for it.
Sounds kinda fishy to me since I didn't find anything about it but I'll be sure to test my micro SD speed with and without an adapter when I get home.

I'm on NZ@McD1 at home and still get a blue LED on my 3DS. No notification or anything but StreetPasses will still come in. I did get the latest firmware downloaded unfortunatley so I think that's why the LED is blue for me sometimes.

I check "setting" and I'm still in 9.2, but I fear Nintendo blocked the exploit without a formal update through spotpass. They can, because in EULA says they can update automatically our console without notification :S

I'm on 9.2 still as well, but I don't know what your concern is. GW is not usable on 9.2 yet without GW's firmware release. What I meant by downloaded is that my DS is getting prompted to install 9.3 or 9.4, I have not installed it yet. If your DS installed an update I'm sure the console would make you aware of it.

I emailed gateway saying I want to sell my 4.5 for a 9.2 so asked them if 9.2 will include emunand. Slightly worried now.

they replied saying:

"

Frankly, dont sell your 4.5 console, it is great, we know there for sure nothing
will ever happen. Even if we are confident for higher firmware future, 4.5 is
still the reference.

makes sense. 4.x is already battle proven and they're experienced with it while the new support will still need to be tested with time after being released.

Even if there isn't a solution for emunand today, there could be a solution in the future. Look at how far Gateway has come in 18 months.

They don't really seem to be confident about their new solution, which might explain why they haven't released it yet.

Okok, but the 3Ds prompts me every day to update. Can I disable the notification? or Can I block updates with Parental Control, in case of mistakes?

They haven't released it yet because they're adding and testing support for older firmwares. 9.0 - 9.2 is done no more testing nothing, they could release it now or in a months time and it would be the same, even the maxconsole admin confirmed that testing was done on 9.0 - 9.2

No chance to disable and Parental Controls won't block past 4.1. There's another thread about this exact topic, I suggest you go there for further reading and question asking.

Exactly. They're building a new support which will probably be completely different from the 4.x support. Even though they'll try to release a good product and that can theoretically work and be useful, only time and new challenges from Nintendo will tell what they have to improve and how good it really is.
