In this week's Shonen Jump, there was an announcement of the new Naruto game: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4. The translated description reads “The Final Form of The Storm Series,” insinuating that this will be the last installment of the series and the end of the ninja war.

While the games have been multi-platform so far, Sony has seemingly bought the rights for the Naruto Storm series, making the final game a PlayStation 4 exclusive. Along with that, Older Naruto will make an appearance in the game, which I'm sure many are excited for. There will be a demo of the title at Jump Festa

I have mixed feelings about this:
>good to see more PS4 exclusives.
>bad to see Naruto is in the list.

I agree that this gen Microsoft and Sony will focus more on exclusive content as that was one of the points why PS3 sold more the past gen even when had a slow start and took like 3 years to pickup the pace.
right now PS4 and Xbone are pretty much tied so they need to come up with something to have a lead. now their plan is farm exclusives, which is a good thing in the sense that the games are getting the spotlight and not a new gimmick and "look muh moiton ctrls" and the like, even Ms is leaving the Kinect in the background.
Wii U is a special case, most people tend to have a Nintendo platform along with one of the others.

It's pretty weird that Sony is buying multiplatform games to make them PS4 exclusives.. what about the PS3 exclusive games why not give those a sequel on PS4?

Edit: Does this mean that by being the last Storm Naruto game CC2 won't develop another shitty cinematic Naruto game?

And M$ dont do the same? This Gen will be the battle of Exclusive games. Nintendo also did the same with Bayonetta 2.
How can people compare Bayonetta 2 to Street Fighter V, Tomb Raider and Naruto Storm 4? It just doesn't make any fucking sense.

Oh interesting. My friends played the 3rd one quite a bit and these games don't suck as much as you'd think. They are fast paced and fun to watch, not to mention, they said it was one of the best fighting game they have played, next to DOA

Gahars kinda set you straight in the other thread but just to reiterate, Capcom is doing incredibly poorly and Sony is co-developing SFV with them. So it's a similar situation with Bayonetta 2.

The PS4 isn't doing too hot in Japan so grabbing popular Japanese titles as exclusives seems to make sense. Plus they'll win in any multiplatform battle since the XB1 is doing even worse.

After reading DOA next to "best fighting game" I now know that I can't trust your friends' taste in fighting games.

EDIT: Dammit Bortz, don't like my posts and then remove the like!

Really? Cause like 3 of them study martial arts and stuff
That's cool and all, but fighting games aren't about simulation - they're about playability and balancement. And DOA definitely isn't high up there when it comes to those.

I suppose no one gives a shit that martial artists can't really do Hadoukens, but everyone still loves Street Fighter the same

EDIT: Btw read my edit on the previous post

Fine there are your damn likes back :P I suppose it's not everyone's cup of tea but for them it's the most responsive and actually based on real techniques. I personally think DOA is boring as shiz lol. But the naruto games are fun as hell to watch

Guess so - maybe it's like footie fans preferring more simulative ones while most players prefer arcade game play.

True been ages since I've played one, I should get the one on Steam...
