Hacking Just bought japan 3ds what firmware will it be on

I just bought a japan new 3ds white from amazon I should get it by next week. What firmware will the 3ds most likely ship with? I know the PAL version ships with 9.0 but there was no way I was paying those crazy prices they want for it. The PAL version was 100-120 dollars more then the japan version.

Because right now there is only japan or Pal and the pal version is a lot more money. Once gateway releases the new update it won't matter

I don't know what you mean I'm asking if someone bought this model 3ds what firmware came with the system. It makes sense because I can't seem to find any info on it besides the LL model comes with 8.1

I bought that Japanese new 3DS from nippon-yasan. It came with 8.1, though some people claim theirs came with 9.1.

I bought a Japanese New 3DS about a three weeks ago, came with 8.1 and I updated it to 9.2 right after I bought it. Now I'm playing the waiting game.

prolly 8.1 but you are going to be waiting ages for GW to release a working exploit for it, they have 9.0 > 9.2 to complete and release, then emunand for 9.4...

I will wait as long as it takes I have a 4.4 firmware 3ds and gateway card. I might wait a few weeks after the gateway 9.x support to see how it goes make sure there is no bricks. So it might be 8.1 or 9.1 hopefully its 9.1 so I don't have to worry about updating it thru some hack that gateway comes up with since there is no games with 9.x

that's not so hard to do.. I'm picking up my LL in about a week for €125, so a regular model should be around €100

I was looking at a PAL version for $280 then 20 to ship it. I bought the jap one for 173.84 then 10 for shipping so yeah 100 dollars more

Weird, ive been watching the white one for about a week now and its has not been out of stock. I just had a family member order me one yesterday and theyre in stock now. Shipping is surprisingly fast too...it shipped the same day and is scheduled to be here by wednesday.

i don't really care much about the nes buttons ,what i like most about the n3ds is the increased power (boots faster,start & exit apps faster,smoother gameplay),very stable 3D & very comfortable to hold.

Yeah for me, I like the changeable plates, better processor, and better 3D. Then theres the c stick and amiibo support for smash. With them saying 9.0-9.2 will be supported, I had to grab the AUS to avoid any issues, though supposedly they are working getting below 9.0 working. Also helped that is was my christmas gift and I didnt have to pay for it haha or else I probably would have just saved $50 and got the JPN version. Now if they'd only update.

Yep haha...same thought here. We never got the white 3DS like everyone else...I figured I would go ahead and import it to use as my gateway system (hopefully) b/c the US will probably only get black or some other different colors instead of white. They must have just restocked it last week sometime then, Ive been watching it for about a week now and finally decided to get it.
