If SKY3DS emulates a real game card, then shouldn't you just be able to download the latest Smash Bros patch from the eShop? Logically speaking, my physical copy of Smash Bros should run the same as the ROM on SKY3DS, at least in the way that the game detects the patch.

Sky3ds is the worst flashcard, no region free, no firmware spoofing, slow switching games, needs a program to transfer games, its programed to work only with 10 to make people buy more than 1 card, shitty price, it sucks to press that button 100 times, no homebrew support, no eshop support and no catridge save dumping

Uhm, without a header? I took an original rom and trimmed the size, that's it. would that cause the issue? everything else works fine.
