Hacking Gateway: UPDATING SYSNAND TO FIRMWARE 9.3 NOT RECOMMENDED

Just yesterday system firmware 9.3 was released and after quickly analysing it we want to warn our users *NOT* to update their sysnand to 9.3 or higher if they want to enjoy our upcoming support!

We repeat, DO NOT update sysnand to 9.3 or beyond!

We plan to move forward with the additional support for sysnand firmware range 9.0 – 9.2.
For users that did not update yet in this range, do not worry. We will add support for a firmware range lower than 9.0 which can be installed using a gamecard update.

To clarify, i did it from within the GW3D mode, not the base DS.

well its nice, hope the poll helped, cause there are quite a few people that had 3ds on the way from over seas. now they can decide what to do, and its good gateway released an update.

That solves it. those on 8.1 can stay on 8.1

my 3DS is still on 4.1, but i updated in gateway mode. The 3DS still works fine, and so does the gateway card if i revert it back to 4.1, but is there some way i can update it back to 9.2 so i can play my games again?

i think the question is, when are they going to release their 9.0-9.2 support because its already patched, theres no reason to keep the exploit in any longer.

Sure, just use the emunand tool to restore your emunand backup. You did back up your emunand before installing an update that you had no idea what it would do to your system riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight?

My cart is still in china though... If I'm lucky it will by the first time I ever celebrate Christmas lol, just after signing up for secret santa for the first time lol

you mean you want to know if you can update your emuNAND to 9.2? AFAIK you can't do that once a newer fw is already out.

Well by the looks of things they haven't exhausted their options yet. All they say is that updating is not recommended. Optimism few

he just updated emunand, not sysnand, he just has to format it and reinstall the emunand or wait untill they update on their end for emunand,
