I am getting a 3ds xl for my son and have been looking at the different cards allowing 3ds games. Most seem to come with 2 cards and gateway looks like you need to boot with one every time after playing a game and use specific keys and navigation to get to the menu.

As this is for my son I was looking for something simple - install a card, load with games and have a menu to go to to launch a title.

Does this exist with any of the 3ds options - I don't like the 10 game lock on the sky3ds card so would be looking at other options that keep things as simple as possible.

Thanks

Bob

Sky 3ds or gateway everything else is clones and rebrands, gateway isn't as complex as it seems.once you have the exploit installed you only need to do that step again if you run a Nds game........if my nephew can figure it out anyone can

But atm gateway only works on 4.x with the update for 9.0-9.2 due out *soon*

The 9.2 update probably won't have any of the blue card stuff anyway but we don't know exactly how it will be run just yet, so you can either bet on gateway who have a lot more features and no limits but will be a bit more complicated......or go with sky 3ds and get milked for money needing another card every 10 games or even more farting about than gateway to bypass the limit

The two options on the table seem to be either SKY3DS with its restrictions (though as other threads indicate, they may not be as set in stone as first claimed - there are still strings attached though) and on the other side there's Gateway who is scheduled to release 9.x support "soon".

I don't know what age your kid is, but in my experience your best bet will be to simply educate your son in proper usage.
Often they are smarter than people like to give them credit for.

Ok thanks all will have a look at YouTube and see - should be straightforward from what's being said.

Thanks
